It’s official, Grace Beverley has completed life. Everyone’s favourite girl boss is engaged to her long-term partner after he went to incredible lengths to set up the dream proposal.
Her fiance, whose name has been kept tightly under wraps, spent months setting up a bogus event at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, an idyllic resort town on the French Riviera.
The complex plan involved Grace’s agent and Italian luxury fashion brand Armani, who she had already been in talks with about future collaborations.
Armani invited the entrepreneur and influencer extraordinaire, who rose to fame under the alias GraceFitUk, to France under the guise of a brand trip.
They even sent out fake invites and told Grace she could bring her now fiance as a plus one.
When they arrived at the airport the couple were picked up in a Maybach and swept off to the hotel, where a makeup artist was waiting to prepare Grace for the special moment.
While they were taking a few snaps before dinner on the gravel path leading out to the sea, her partner got down on one knee and popped the question.
After fighting away the tears Grace said an emphatic ‘yes’. The only slip-up in a near-flawless plan was that when her fiance opened the ring box it was upside down.
Nevertheless, the proposal would be the envy of any woman, and the elaborate scheme was executed with military precision by everyone involved.
Grace said on the proposal: “It was just amazing; and beautiful; and gorgeous.
“I’ve always believed in good things and there’s so much excitement, but every time you have something that doesn’t work out, or they clearly aren’t as interested, it’s so easy to think, ‘I don’t know if something like that is out there for me.’
“I’ve always said to my friends, and I’ve always thought until I met him, life has been so kind to me in so many ways I would understand if I don’t get the love thing.”
She added: “It’s the most beautiful thing in the world. It feels f*cking amazing to be part of a team, to feel like I am a main character instead of just a supporting character, which I think women often feel like.”
One thing’s for sure, if her fiance went to that length for the proposal, the wedding is going to be even better.
