It’s a collab we’re pretty sure no one predicted – now that it’s here, we’re intrigued!
Liquid Death – the canned water brand known for its heavy metal aesthetic and chaotic marketing – has teamed up with iconic breakfast pastry brand Pop-Tarts to launch Pop-Tarts Carnage, a limited-edition flavoured iced tea inspired by Frosted Strawberry.
What’s in Pop-Tarts Carnage?
Each 355ml can is built on a black tea base with a Frosted Strawberry flavour – a taste that will take you right back to your childhood breakfast table.
For a drink based on kids’ confectionery, the stats are surprising: each can delivers just 4g of sugar and 20 calories (75% less sugar than leading non-diet iced teas), and no artificial sweeteners. All of the nostalgia, without the sugar crash.
It also contains 43mg of caffeine and comes with a hit of B vitamins.
The Liquid Death Campaign
The launch is backed by a typically unhinged promotional video, produced in-house by the brand’s own production arm, Death Machine.
The ad opens on a quiet, lifeless breakfast scene, with two adults living a boring life. Two cans of Pop-Tarts Carnage crash onto the table, and everything changes.
The couple instantly regresses to their teens, having a food fight before tearing through their street on bikes. As they pass a can of Liquid Death to their neighbours, absolute carnage ensues.
It’s absurd, it’s funny, and it’s entirely on brand. It’s also the latest in a growing string of wild Liquid Death collaborations, following recent tie-ups with Fruity Pebbles, Pit Viper sunglasses, and Spotify.
Where to Buy Liquid Death Pop-Tarts Carnage
Pop-Tarts Carnage is now available in 12-packs on Amazon for $16.99, or direct from the Liquid Death online store.
Wider retail distribution is expected through May. As with most Liquid Death drops, it’s limited, so don’t sit on it too long.
