The European Athletics Championships 2026 are coming to Birmingham this summer, with Alexander Stadium hosting the event from Monday 10th August to Sunday 16th August. 

It’ll be the first time the championships have ever been held in the UK, so it’s kind of a big deal!

More than 50 nations will be competing across the week, so this really is an event to look forward to.

A lot of what makes this one exciting is how much there’ll be to watch. This is not a one day meet where you catch a few races and it’s over. It’s a full championship week, which means sprint events, distance races, field events, relays, and medal sessions spread across seven days.
