Established in 2015, King Smith WalkingPad is a cutting-edge tech enterprise focused on wellness, merging groundbreaking research and production to create intelligent fitness solutions.

A key contributor from the inception of the company shares: This will be my source of joy, my dopamine generator. A few years back, we were a group of determined postgraduates and Ph.D. students from the University of Science and Technology of China. Our passion and dedication for advanced robotic research led us to become the winners and runners-up in the RoboCup competition of 2013 and 2014 respectively.

The intensity of our scientific pursuits took a toll on my once-vibrant energy and robust physique. My doctor emphasized the importance of regular physical activity, but my tight schedule left me with no time to stroll across the playground. I was desperate to break free from my state of constant stillness. My ideal was a fitness equipment that was compact, accessible anytime, user-friendly, and enabled me to exercise while standing.

In the absence of such a product in the market, we embarked on a journey to create one. Our objective was a device that was lightweight, slim, and perfect for exercising anytime, anywhere. The cherry on top was its ability to fold and stow away under tight spaces like a couch or desk. This was the birth of the walking machine prototype that we see today.

The initial WalkingPad prototype was met with overwhelming support from our close circle. Looking ahead, we remain committed to our mission of promoting a love for fitness and a healthy lifestyle. We envision every household to have a WalkingPad, a companion in tough times, an escape from reality, and a gentle reminder of the importance of health and positivity.
