Over 15 years since the last episode of Gladiators, the wait is almost finally over. This Saturday, 16 brand new super-humans will introduce themselves to the nation through displays of incredible speed, strength, and stamina.
Among them is Midlands-born Livi ‘Diamond’ Sheldon. We’ve compiled a small dossier of five facts you need to know about one of the show’s most powerful contestants to date.
1. At 6ft tall, Livi ‘Diamond’ Sheldon is a striking presence that exudes confidence and grace. But it wasn’t always that way, as she revealed to BBC bosses.
“When I was growing up I used to get picked on for being taller than everyone else,” she said. “Now I get to show everyone that being unique is your superpower. I can’t wait to get into the arena and take on the contenders as Diamond.”
2. Unsurprisingly, Diamond already has a sizable online following, boasting nearly 13,000 fans on Instagram alone. Her business, LIVFit Online Coaching, is all about helping women build a strong mind and body, inside and out.
3. After graduating with a degree in Sports Science, Livi took up bodybuilding and achieved the status of a British Finalist in ‘England Toned Figure’.
4. Just like her namesake, Diamond is both beautiful and strong, boasting a massive 120kg squat and 36cm biceps!
5. At 29, Livi is at the peak of her powers, poised to be a formidable opponent for any challenger.
