At a towering 6’ 6” tall Bionic is one of the tallest Gladiators, and between his height and his muscles he’ll make a formidable opponent to any contender that takes him on!
2. Matty on Insta
Matty shares behind the scenes details of his bodybuilding lifestyle on his personal Insta account @matty___campbell where he has a little over 4000 followers. He’s also been posting photos of himself all kitted out in his Gladiators gear on his new account @bionicthegladiator where he’s already gathered 1393 followers.
3. He’s got some beef with Ref Mark Clattenburg
Don’t worry though, it’s all in good fun! There’s just been some friendly banter between the two, with Matty being from Middlesbrough and Mark being a Newcastle lad and the football rivalry that comes with that.
4. He never expected he’d be a Gladiator
In his bio on the Gladiators website Matty reveals, “Never in a million years did I expect to get the call to be a Gladiator, it’s a feeling that’ll never sink in. I’m just a normal lad from Teeside! All the training and hard work has finally paid off for me, I can’t wait to get started!”
5. A car accident led him to Bodybuilding
Matty was a sporty child who excelled at sprinting and football, but never went pro after he was injured in a car accident. Luckily for Matty, his rehabilitation after the accident led him to fall in love with the gym and discover his talent for bodybuilding.
