Longer evenings aren’t the only thing you have to look forward to in March. As bodybuilding celebrations go, it’s hard to top the Arnold Sports Festival

Held over three days, this all-encompassing muscle fest features a huge expo with hundreds of stands, a meet and greet with current IFBB pros, a whole host of prejudging and competitions, and even a seminar with the godfather himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

There will also be appearances from some of the biggest stars in the fitness realm, including Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Thor Bjornsson, UFC champ Tom Aspinall, and plenty more.

The Condition Coaches Kingdom Classic 

If you don’t fancy a trip to Birmingham, fear not, as March offers plenty more UK bodybuilding events to sink your gnashers into. 

Athletes under the expert guidance of The Condition Coaches, who have 101 first-place finishes on their CVs, will take to the stage to strut their buffed and bronzed physiques.

Miss Bikini And Miss Transformation Classic 

You can expect loud bikinis and sculpted physiques as competitors strip down to their swimwear for the Miss Bikini And Miss Transformation Classic on March 24. 

Hosted by FMC, this female-only show costs £54 for competitors and £27.50 for spectators.

PCA First Timers 2024

While this event might not feature big-name competitors, it provides aspiring bodybuilders with their first opportunity to showcase the results of years of hard work on stage. 

A slick and professional event nonetheless, last year’s overall winners were Julio Pedro, Daria Falkowska, Raheem Gray, and Wendy Sclarson.

Who knows, you might even witness the beginning of a future Chris Bumstead’s rise to the top.

April 

IBFA Granite City 

To kick off April we head north of the border for the IBFA Granite City. Promoters have secured a treat for those in attendance, with the Vanilla Gorilla Jack Gunn due to feature as a guest poser. 

Jack is widely regarded as Scotland’s brightest star in the bodybuilding game and is shooting for his IFBB Pro status this year. 

If you’re interested in competing, it’s worth noting that you must hold an IBFA membership to take part in any of the federation’s qualifiers.

PCA Saxon Classic 

Bodybuilders hoping to secure a coveted spot at the nationals will go pose for pose on April 7. Categories include Junior Physique, Masters Physique, Bikini Masters, and Toned Figure. 

It costs £50 to enter, but you must have an active PCA membership to be eligible to take part.

NABBA Scotland 2024 

NABBA Scotland presents aspiring bodybuilders with a golden opportunity to secure a place at both national and international shows. 

Displaying Scotland’s finest talent, the top two from each area have the potential to advance to the British Finals.

Pure Elite PRO/AM UK Championships 

Pure Elite’s inaugural show for 2024 is just around the corner, and it’s gearing up to be a massive event

Get ready to discover which amateurs will secure themselves a pro card and qualify for this year’s World Championships in November. Plus, witness the fierce battle as pros vie for the coveted UK crown.

Former UK champions include the likes of Gabriel Abibu, John Tamas, and Dawn O’Sullivan. 

NAC UK Championships Qualifier 

NAC UK Championships Qualifier 

A ticket to sunny Spain awaits those who emerge triumphant at the NAC UK Championships Qualifier

Contestants who impress the judges across divisions including Men’s Physique, Miss Bikini, and Ms Physique can secure themselves a spot at the World Championships on June 1 in Malaga. The show is only open to current NAC members and costs just £25 to enter.

FitX The Hanger – Wolverhampton 

The events come thick and fast in April, and next up on our whistle-stop UK tour is FitX The Hanger in Wolverhampton. 

FitX is the UK’s fastest-growing bodybuilding federation, and it has been forced to split Bikini, Classic and Men’s Physique into height categories due to the sheer number of competitors booked in for this show. 

It’s safe to say muscles, creatine, and protein powder will not be in short supply. 

April has plenty more to offer in terms of bodybuilding, so be sure to hit up our calendar to stay updated with all the action.

May 

BPA Masters Allstars & Rising Stars

Following on from a highly successful debut last year, BPA Masters Allstars & Rising Stars is back for another protein-fuelled edition. 

The event gives bodybuilders at both ends of the spectrum a chance to tan up and show off what they’ve been sweating for in the gym. 

The Masters contest is for men 40 years or older, and women 35 or above, while Rising Stars welcomes those who have never taken to the stage. 

With a blend of upcoming talent and seasoned lifters, this show has something for every gym rat.

Nabba North 

May is buzzing with Nabba qualifiers all across the country, setting the stage for the grand showdown at the Britain Finals in June. 

Keep your eyes peeled for winners and runners-up at Nabba North, as they’ll be aiming for glory at the nationals, joining forces with the champions from Nabba’s other regional shows.

Muscleworks Classic Fitness & Bodybuilding Championships

If you value friendly federations and massive stage time, then you’ll love any FMC event. One to keep a close eye on in May is the Muscleworks Classic Fitness & Bodybuilding Championships

Big muscles, huge crowds, and industry-leading brands all in one place – what’s not to love?

Experience the thrill of witnessing the top 1% of bodybuilding competitors giving their all in 14 challenging competitions, ranging from strongman and bodybuilding to functional fitness and even MMA.

PCA Universe 

Of the 32 events the PCA has planned for 2024, just three of them are professional shows. The first one, PCA Universe, will see those at the very peak of physical conditioning go pose for pose, with a hefty £30,000 up for grabs.

Last year’s winners include Millie Dunn, Nick Fotheringham, Fildo Satu, Nikolaev Oleg, and Mark Forbes. Qualification can be secured at any of the eligible PCA events leading up to this mega day of bodybuilding.

Nabba Britain Finals 

In the realm of UK bodybuilding, it doesn’t get much grander than the Nabba Britain Finals. On June 1, champions from the 10 elected areas of the first and original competitive bodybuilding association will gather to fiercely compete at the annual Mr & Miss Britain Finals.

As if national glory wasn’t enough, the standout athletes who manage to win the judge’s approval will earn the chance to step onto the international stage, representing the UK at the European and Universe Championships. Check it out here.

NFMUK Nationals Qualifier + Pro Show

NFMUK’s link-up with the WFF brings an exciting opportunity for four fortunate pros to secure sponsored tickets to the prestigious WFF Universe event in Las Vegas.

Contestants who shine the brightest on stage stand a chance to attain WFF Pro status. To ensure no one leaves disappointed, organisers have arranged goodie bags for all competitors.

PCA Naturals

After successfully hosting natural events in South Korea for several years, PCA is now expanding its lineup of tested competitions here in the UK

Stringent testing will be conducted during this event, with the contest serving as a qualifying platform for PCA GB at the PCA Natural World Championships in October.

Haider Mehdi’s Warrior Cup 

This summer, mark your calendars for an exciting new event hosted by top-rated coach and IFBB Pro, Haider Mehdi. 

The Warrior Cup, a 2 Bros Pro open regional qualifier, not only promises huge muscles and aggressive spray tans but also secures qualification for The Europeans and All International PQs.

BPA Northern Ireland Grand Prix 

BPA Northern Ireland Grand Prix

After debuting last year, the BPA Northern Ireland Grand Prix returns in July for another night of sparkling costumes and boulder shoulders. Who knows, you could even see the winner at the British Championships later on in the year.

IBFA Hulk Abomination

Hosted by charity bodybuilder, Chris ‘Hulk’ Williams, the IBFA Hulk Abomination offers gym rats the chance to unleash their inner beast on stage and show some serious strength, Marvel style.

UKBFF England Grand Prix

Since the Grand Prix serves as a qualifying event for prestigious competitions like the UKBFF British Championships, IFBB Arnold Classic in Spain, IFBB World Championships, and the IFBB Diamond Cups, anticipate witnessing some huge names on display.

Pure Elite Manchester 

Those in pursuit of a Pro Card will have their eyes firmly fixed on Pro Elite Manchester. The qualifier is open to anyone, yes anyone, except those who already carry a Pure Elite Pro Card.

August 

The Ross Byrne Emerald Classic 

August kicks off with another trip to the Land of Saints and Scholars for The Ross Byrne Emerald Classic

Proudly sponsored by Ireland’s very own pro coach, Ross Byrne, this muscle fest will be the first ever NPC Worldwide IFBB Professional League Regional Qualifier on Irish soil. 

With a track record of coaching bodybuilders to victories at amateur levels and renowned global competitions like Mr. Olympia, Ross’s involvement ensures that talent won’t be in short supply.

UKUP Northern Open 

UKUP Northern Open

Are you on the hunt for a pro card? Well, the UKUP Northern Open might just be your ticket to the big time. Organisers will be handing out pro cards to the bodybuilders who prove their steel at this prestigious event

Isle of Wight bodybuilder Pearl Dobson was just one of the athletes to gain a pro card at 2023’s event after winning the over-35s Bikini Athletic Class category, which requires a greater muscle mass and condition than the standard bikini class.

The open is also a Team GB qualifier for Wabba Universe.

10X Naturals 2024

Billed as the natural regional event in Europe, this is a must-do event for any natty looking to obtain an IFBB pro card. 

With 10X Athletic’s launch in the UAE about to take off, this event is set to be stacked with special appearances from the UK’s top IFBB athletes.

UKBFF Kent Klassic

NFMUK North West Qualifier & Pro Show 

NFMUK has a packed schedule of shows in 2024, and the North West PRO/AM event will be the federation’s fifth of the year. As the name suggests, both amateurs and pros will flex their guns in a bid to impress judges and gym rats in attendance. 

Alongside a sizeable pot of prize money, two sponsored tickets to the WFF Universe in Las Vegas will be awarded to the overall winners.

FitX Wales

PCA First Timers West Midlands (September Edition)

The hottest ticket on the PCA calendar, PCA First Timers (5), is nearly sold out, with 95% capacity reached a solid eight months before the show. 

Spectator tickets are flying off the shelves as well, so if you’re keen to witness the next generation of bodybuilding stars in action at this CNP-sponsored event, you better move fast before they’re all gone.

BPA British Championships 

As we roll into the latter part of the year, the competitions start stacking up, setting the stage for the showdowns that draw in only the mightiest and most formidable bodybuilders on the scene.

The BPA British Championships are gearing up for another spectacular showdown at the prestigious Athena Theatre in Leicester on September 29 – a stage befitting such a renowned event.

This grand finale brings together the victors from several intense qualifiers, including The Scottish Grand Prix, Rising Stars, Masters Allstars, The Northern Ireland Grand Prix, and The English Grand Prix.

In the previous year’s showdown, Reza Bahrani flexed his way to the top, claiming the Men’s Physique title in a heated posedown, while the promising Daniel Jay Smith dominated the Male Bodybuilding class, securing his spot at the pinnacle.

Xplosive Ape European Championships 2024

Gymbodyz Halloween Gala

Expect tricks, treats, and a shedload of firepower at this Halloween-themed muscle fest. A specialist makeup team has been drafted in to ensure competitors look their spooky best on stage.

If the theatrics don’t send shivers down your spine, be warned – some of the lat spreads on display might be frightening enough to keep you up at night. 

Divisions include Classic Physique, Figure, Bikini, Men’s Physique, and plenty more. Don’t spend your Halloween dressed as Captain America in a sweaty nightclub, support the superheroes of bodybuilding instead.

November 

NEC Birmingham FitXPO Open & Finals 

November promises to deliver another massive weekend for your 2024 bodybuilding agenda, courtesy of FitXPO. Closing off its calendar, the federation is bringing a two-day extravaganza that blends an open event with a grand final.

On Friday, it’s a fitness lover’s dream with hundreds of top brands setting up stalls, generously doling out goodies to the gym-obsessed crowd. 

Think Manchester expo vibes with guest speakers and athletes from the realms of bodybuilding, strongman, and combat sports.

Come Saturday, those who’ve earned their spot through qualification will battle it out for various titles. While more details are still under wraps, brace yourself for some exciting news about new divisions at this year’s show.

Nabba Universe 

Bodybuilding royalty will be on display at Nabba Universe as the competition looks to return to its sparkling best following some Covid-enforced changes. 

Britain’s best will look to use their stage time to see off stiff opposition from overseas and etch their name into Nabba’s rich bodybuilding heritage. 

Last year’s winners included Elodie Moore (Miss Trained Figure), Klaus Drescher (Class 1), Mark Taylor (Masters Over 45), and Kyle Flemming (Juniors).  

It wouldn’t be a Nabba show without a huge expo, so you can expect plenty of stalls and some cheeky freebies.

NAC UK Championships Qualifier 

A qualifier for the NAC Universe, get ready for some heavyweight action as top bodybuilders step up to the plate. Although we’re still a bit away from the event, keep those eyes peeled for ticketing details dropping this summer.

Natural Universe Weekend 

Natural Universe Weekend – Natural Tested

Calling all natties, here’s your opportunity to showcase the results of hard work, dedication, and top-notch nutrition. Registration is about to open, and while details are still scarce, one thing’s for certain – pro cards are up for grabs for the winners.

To ensure fair play, every athlete must submit a urine sample at registration.

FMC British Championships PRO/AM

December is less hectic on the bodybuilding scene as the 2024 season wraps up, giving competitors a chance to catch their breath. After a year of strict diets and double gym sessions, it’s high time for a well-earned break.

Yet, for those stepping onto the stage at FMC’s British Championships, the turkey and stuffing will have to wait. Musclework’s very own Jamie Fowler clinched the title in the Bikini Junior division in the last showdown.
