From Love Island to Modern Wisdom, here’s everything you need to know about Chris Williamson.
First of all, the guy probably doesn’t want to be thought of as ‘Chris Williamson from Love Island’ these days. In his Insta bio he calls himself, ‘Podcaster, Writer, Aspiring Trophy Husband’ and there’s no mention of the reality show at all.
There’s no denying that going on the first season of Love Island was a turning point for Chris though. At the time he was working as a nightclub promoter and thought the show would be perfect for the lifestyle he was living. But while he was there he realised that the ‘party boy’ persona he was portraying just wasn’t him, and he lasted 18 days before being voted off.
In the almost 10 years since he appeared on the show Chris has moved into the world of podcasting, launching his show ‘Modern Wisdom’ in 2018. It’s now one of the fastest growing podcasts in the UK, after starting off as a bit of a passion project.
Things took off after Chris managed to get James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, on the 30th episode of the show. Now he’s up to nearly 800 episodes of the show and has chatted to tons of guests including Jordan Peterson, Steven Pinker, and David Goggins.
Chris has also flexed his entrepreneurial muscles recently, creating a nootropic drink with James Smith. The pair spent the best part of a year working with experts in the field to produce Neutonic, a sugar-free energy drink packed with nootropic ingredients for sharp focus, sustained energy, and mental clarity.
And with his podcast going from strength to strength Chris is basically a walking ad for the benefits of drinking Neutonic, as well as a brilliant example of what you can achieve with the right mindset.
