Dillon Danis Charges $5000 Per Tweet

Controversial MMA star Dillon Danis charged YouTube sensation Coffeezilla $5,000 to promote a fake NFT project as part of an online sting.

On December 23 Danis called out Logan Paul over his part in the CryptoZoo debacle. He wrote: “Damn Logan Paul is a scumbag feel bad for everyone he scammed.”

However, on-chain sleuth and ‘2D detective’ ZachXBT then returned the favour by highlighting tweets in which Danis had helped promote obvious scams that later rug-pulled.

After digging further through the garbage bin of deleted tweets both Coffeezilla and ZachXBT found more than 20 tweets from Danis lending Dillon Danis‘ name to various NFT projects, many of which had lost investors their money.

So, in a bid to discover how much he had earned from his part in the facade, Coffeezilla got his friend to approach Danis via a direct message to ask how much it would cost for him to help market a fake up-and-coming NFT project.

I Scammed Dillon Danis

They copied aspects of CryptoZoo to test the sincerity of Danis’s statement about the fans who lost money to a similar project.

Undeterred by the red flags, Danis said it sounded “dope” and agreed on a price of $5,000 for a tweet to be live for 24 hours, even signing a bogus contract which laid out, in detail, Coffeezilla’s plan to prank him.

The icing on the cake was that the link posted by Danis took fans to a website filled with all of his previous promotions for dodgy NFT projects.

I think it’s safe to say he was taught a lesson in due diligence.
