Eddie Abbew is at it again! In case you haven’t heard about Eddie, he’s a fitness instructor who sets the foodie space on TikTok and Instagram ablaze with controversial diet plans and food advice. This time, Eddie Abbew gets real, talking about food and cancer.
As you might expect, Eddie has some history with fitness—a lot, actually—since he was a bodybuilding champion at the British Championship in 1997. His career peaked when he contested for Mr Olympia in 2007. Now, Eddie is a gym instructor at the Olympian Gym, founded by him and his wife, Marisa.
Eddie Abbew preaches against processed food and advocates for more natural, single-ingredient foods. In a recent Instagram post, he called out the correlation between scientific progress and the frequency of cancer. As you might expect, he attributed the frequency of cancer to what we eat, stating that the sugar in processed food is killing us.
If you’re not new to the Eddie Abbew space, you have seen more than one post where he is unapologetically bashing carbohydrate foods. For him, humans should eat what we are meant to instead of chucking down sugars.
In Eddie’s own experience, a diet rich in protein and fat, as he advocates, has significantly improved his energy levels. He demonstrates this by frying about ten raw eggs in two bars of butter on slow heat, a practice he claims has boosted his energy more than when he was in his 30s.
If we’re to infer anything from Eddie Abbew’s post on food and cancer, it’s that we should eat more foods suited to humans, especially to prevent cancer. Unsurprisingly, eggs are top on that list.
