Eddie Abbew Opens Up About Roid Rage

Eddie Abbew has opened up about the full impact of his steroid addiction, and how he quit juicing for good. The former British world champion had a highly successful career in bodybuilding that spanned 12 years.

His accomplishments included placing third at Ironman in 2007 and competing at the prestigious Mr. Olympia, considered the pinnacle for any professional lifter.

After stepping away from competitions, he gained fame on TikTok, largely due to his uncompromising stance on dieting. You’ve most likely stumbled upon his videos in supermarkets, where he tears into popular snacks and cereals with some fairly colourful language.

Despite still maintaining an impressive physique at 60 years old, it’s widely known that during his prime, Abbew was a long-term user of steroids.

Eddie Abbew ROASTS Our Diet! His Roid Rage History & Jack's Liver Disease!

Lifting the lid of the impact of using PEDs on Cole Anderson-James and Jack Joseph’s podcast, Low IQ, he said: “When I left bodybuilding I came off everything, I had to go to counselling.

“I can tell you a little story. I was driving on the M25 and I cut in front of a lorry. He followed me and when we got to the traffic lights and they went green I rammed my foot on the brakes.

“The guy came so close to me. I got out, pulled open his door, got his keys and drove off. The person sitting in the car beside me said, ‘Eddie, that’s a bit nuts, you’re going to get into trouble.’

“So, I drove around the roundabout and when I got back there he (the lorry driver) had hailed a police car. I drove past, screamed, ‘oi’, spat on his keys and threw them into the bushes.”

Abbew, who still weighs a massive 100kg, continued: “My kids talk about steroid dad and it hurts because I was a different person.”

Besides experiencing bouts of roid rage, Abbew, who took his first course of steroids at 27, confessed that his manhood shrunk, he experienced significant swings in libido, and, oddly, he even burst into tears while watching Eastenders.
