Eddie Hall vs Mariusz Pudzianowski: The Beast Brutally Knocks Out Strongman Rival Within 30 Seconds

Eddie Hall vs Mariusz Pudzianowski: Watch as The Beast Stuns Crowd with 30 Second KO

After months of hype, talk, and preparation, it took Eddie Hall less than 30 seconds to dispatch Mariusz Pudzianowski in Poland.

The Beast went toe-to-toe with his fellow World’s Strongest Man winner on a stacked KSW 105 card on Saturday night.

Hall entered the contest as a huge underdog, with only two previous fights to his name – and just one of them in MMA.

The 37-year-old’s first appearance in the Octagon saw him claim a bizarre victory over the Neffati brothers in a two-versus-one fight.

Pudzianowski, however, looked to be a much tougher test. With five World’s Strongest Man titles and 16 years of MMA experience under his belt, the 48-year-old was the bookmakers’ favorite heading into the bout.

Unfazed by the odds, Hall sent the Pole stumbling with a huge right hand in the opening exchanges.

With Pudzianowski rocked – and Hall smelling blood – the Brit unleashed a barrage of strikes that further dazed his opponent.

Pudzianowski launched a desperate takedown attempt to halt the flurry, but Hall used his mammoth frame to toss him aside and finish the job with a brutal ground-and-pound, forcing the referee to mercifully wave off the contest after just 27 seconds.

Eddie Hall vs Mariusz Pudzianowski: The Broken Hand

It was an immensely impressive display from Hall, who agreed to travel to Pudzianowski’s home country for what was easily his toughest challenge yet.

The result was made even more impressive by the fact that Hall supposedly broke his hand during the fight. Asked whether this was his trickiest Octagon appearance to date, the MMA rookie said: “The fight with Mariusz was harder.

“I didn’t break my hand on the Neffati brothers. But I broke my hand on Mariusz’s face. I’d say Mariusz is a much harder fight than the Neffati brothers.

“But the Neffati brothers, they won a two-versus-one recently. So fair play to them. They’ve improved.”

Eddie Hall vs Mariusz Pudzianowski: Pre-Fight Controversy

Like most high-profile fights, Eddie Hall vs Mariusz Pudzianowski wasn’t without its controversy. Despite boasting a respectable professional record of 17–9, Pudzianowski weighed in at 267 lbs (121 kg), while Hall tipped the scales at a whopping 334 lbs (151.3 kg).

The Pole had pushed for five-minute rounds during the build-up to the fight, whereas Hall had his heart set on two.

With a 30 kg (66 lbs) weight difference between the two, it’s easy to see how Pudzianowski’s plan may have been to tire the giant Brit out and pick him off as the fight wore on.

In the end, they begrudgingly agreed to four-minute rounds – but Hall only needed a fraction of that time to end the fight in emphatic fashion.
