Eddie Hall’s Son Breaks ‘Unofficial World Record’ With Insane 150kg Deadlift

Fans Are Losing Their Minds at the Latest Clip of Eddie Hall’s Son Training

Eddie Hall’s son, Maximus, has just proven that beast genetics run in the family.

The then 12-year-old — who celebrated his 13th birthday last week — set what Hall claimed to be an “unofficial world record” for his age by pulling a mammoth 150kg deadlift.

Beast Jr, as he’s otherwise known, has been lifting for three years now. The budding muscleman has his own YouTube channel with 128,000 subscribers.

Last year, he left viewers stunned after deadlifting 120kg at just 11 years old.

It seems young Maximus is very much following in his father’s footsteps. Retired strongman Eddie Hall previously set the world record for the movement — hauling a whopping 500kg and becoming the first man to move half a tonne in the process.

Eddie Hall’s Son Pulls Crazy Weight

Hall posted the video of Maximus’ lift to his 5.4 million Instagram followers on July 9th.

Ironically, Maximus said he wasn’t feeling his best before attempting the rep, so Hall and his coach covered the weight with bin bags to disguise what they’d loaded on.

Beaming with pride, Hall wrote: “The boy deadlifting 150kg/330lbs. Unofficial world record for a 12 year old!!!

“Max wasn’t feeling the best so he said, ‘stick whatever you want on and I’ll pull it.’

“So me and his coach loaded up 150kg and hid it with bin bags so he didn’t know what he was lifting and he ended up pulling it.

“I’m so proud of you Max. He’s been lifting weights for nearly three years now and has become what I believe to be a prime example of what a human being should be…

“Hard working, consistent, kind, funny, caring, well-mannered, polite, and, above all STRONG!!!”

The pair shared a touching embrace after Hall revealed what was on the bar. Bubba Pritchett, the son of WSM finalist and 2017 America’s Strongest Man, Jerry Pritchett, also congratulated the teen.

Bubba, who’s 14, recently completed a more-than-impressive feat of his own, deadlifting 261kg to break his all-time personal record.

Those two names might be worth remembering on the strongman circuit.

Safety Concerns

While some fans were buzzing about the lift, others raised concern for Eddie Hall’s son. This isn’t the first time questions have been asked in the comments as to whether Maximus should be lifting weights that heavy at such a young age.

Some also critiqued his form, with the teen giving it everything he had to squeeze through the rep.

Though, as some pointed out, who are we to judge how the world’s former strongest man trains his son?
