KSI has vowed to shut Dillon Danis up “for good” after announcing the MMA fighter as his next opponent.
KSI vs Dillon Danis will see the pair will go to war at the OVO Arena Wembley on January 14, 2023, in what promises to be another epic crossover of Youtube and boxing.
JJ was in Austin, Texas to officially confirm his ring return following a successful comeback event in August. The Brit knocked out 2-5 professional boxer Luis Pineda and rapper Swarmz in the same night in what was an impressive showing of skill and endurance.
KSI vs Dillon Danis
He broke the news of his latest match-up after taking to the ring at the Moody Center ahead of Saturday night’s main event between Deen The Great and Walid Sharks. Danis then stepped in shortly after for a face-off.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I am fighting Dillon Danis,” he said before the Bellator star walked into the ring for another tense encounter between the pair.
They had to be separated at Friday’s weigh-in as Danis, who is Conor McGregor’s former training partner, threw a punch followed by coffee at the rapper, knocking his hat from his head in the process.
The incident sparked fury from KSI, 29, who tried to run past a wave of security to return his own flurry. Danis was then involved in a further fracas with Jake Paul’s former sparring partner Anthony Taylor in the car park.
Taylor, who was formerly bested in the ring by Tommy Fury, hunted down Danis before landing a huge overhand right which sent the American stumbling backwards into a parked vehicle.
Tempers once again flared when KSI and Danis met in the ring, with the duo exchanging aggressive words before KSI declared: “Best believe, January 14, you’re finished. I am the nightmare KSI. Look at me in the eyes, no one trains as hard as me, no one is as good as me, you’ll see – watch, bro.”
He then took to Twitter and added: “It’s that time again. Time to shut Dildo Danis up for good and add another infinity stone to my collection before the final snap.”
Danis, also 29, has since trolled KSI by posting a picture of Prime – his and Logan Paul’s energy drink – stacked up with a buy one get one free sign next to it.
Jake Paul & Tommy Fury Beef
The “final snap” KSI referred to in his tweet is almost certainly Jake Paul. The pair have already verbally agreed to settle their differences in the new year after months of speculation.
Paul is currently in the process of trying to piece together a fight with Tommy Fury at the third attempt. Talks were reignited by a fierce exchange following Fury’s fight on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather vs Deji.
Since then, tweets have been sent back and forth suggesting a date in February or March, with formal contracts being exchanged as early as Wednesday.
However, after pulling out of two fights due to injury and visa complications, Fury has cast slight doubt over whether the fight will materialise by bemoaning the proposed terms.
He said: “Dear Jake Paul, I’m glad to see you’ve agreed to the location and time, now you can tell your team to get round the table and negotiate properly instead of trying to hide behind the old terms/agreements put in place 2 years ago. I’m ready and waiting to get this over the line.”
Paul responded by saying: “You and your papa are both frauds. My team and I will never risk a quid on you again. I’m not paying you a pence you dimwit so there’s no old agreement/terms.
“My team has spoken to the Warrens multiple times this week and the deal is your promoter is paying you. Sign the paperwork.”
He later had his say on Danis taking a punch straight to the dome. “Nothing worse than a staged run-in with coffee being thrown and then you go outside and get your ass whooped by some real ones.”
Paul, who famously dislikes Danis, currently has an impressive record of 6-0, with two of those wins coming against former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
Coincidentally, talks have just broken down between KSI and Woodley over complications surrounding rehydration and weight. KSI said he would gladly fight him after he ends his six-fight losing streak.
The star’s slump includes two defeats in the boxing ring and four in the octagon. That opened the door for Danis, however, who will face KSI on DAZN pay-per-view.
