Fans Furious Over Khabib’s NFT Post

Fans have accused Khabib Nurmagomedov of ‘selling out’ after the retired mixed martial artist announced his very own NFT collection with GMT. The former UFC lightweight champion promoted his latest venture with a tweet that urged people to ‘hurry’ and become part of his private community. However, Khabib’s NFT post has yielded nothing but controversy.

According to GMT, every NFT from the collection will serve as a ticket to private events that Khabib will hold several times a year. The company has also pledged it will be used to mine Bitcoin.

Users have been told they can earn valuable digital currency by staking GMT Token, holding NFTs, and playing a game.

Several celebrities have come under fire in recent months for promoting NFT projects – especially after a series of rug-pulls which saw investors lose thousands.

Dillon Danis was the latest to be thrust under the spotlight after he lent his name to a bogus project created as a prank by YouTuber Coffeezilla.

And fans of ‘The Eagle’ were less than impressed to see that he too has ventured into the market. One user simply tweeted: “Not a good look.”

Another replied: “This hurts. Never thought Khabib would scam.”

Meanwhile, someone else said: “Hurts me seeing a hero of mine shilling a scam to his poor followers.”
