First-Ever Gymshark Trainers to Launch in Collaboration with R.A.D®

Gymshark Trainers: Everything You Need to Know Before They Drop

For the first time in history, Gymshark fans will be able to kit themselves out head to toe in the brand’s apparel.

That’s because the inaugural Gymshark trainers are just hours away from launch.

“Gymshark isn’t a sports brand, or an athleisure brand — it’s a gym brand,” said Gymshark founder and CEO, Ben Francis.

“A year ago, we launched our ‘We Do Gym’ campaign, putting our stake in the ground and claiming we had everything you would ever need for the gym, but we could never offer the full complete wardrobe — until now.”

R.A.D® — short for rally against destruction — burst onto the scene in 2022 with its now-iconic R.A.D® One trainer.

Operating at the intersection of performance, culture, and conscious production, R.A.D®’s online drops rival the exclusivity of Gymshark’s Onyx line.

The UK label only manufactures the number of shoes it believes it can sell, reducing waste while building prestige.

Unfortunately for those hoping to get their hands on the debut Gymshark trainers, that means they’ll be super-limited edition.

Gymshark Trainers: What to Expect

The inaugural Gymshark trainers are arriving in two of R.A.D®’s most popular models, each designed to serve different training disciplines.

First up is the R.A.D® One V2 — the second iteration of the brand’s flagship trainer and a true all-rounder. Cushioned for plyometrics, stabilised for lifting, and lightweight enough for gymnastics, it delivers versatility across the board.

Building on the rapturous success of V1, the updated version comes with a wave-patterned sole and heel clip to enhance balance, alongside a reinforced toe bumper for added durability and increased cushioning for comfort.

For those who thrive on high-intensity training, the R-1 has been built as a workhorse.

Ideal for HIIT, HYROX, and conditioning sessions, it pairs a lightweight, breathable design with R.A.D®’s SwellFoam N2™ technology, giving cross-training athletes the energy return they need to power through burpees, box jumps, and other lactic-acid-inducing movements.

Both models will feature Gymshark branding and launch in five colourways:

  • Oat White/Gum
  • Weighted Purple/Gum
  • Triple Black
  • White/Off-White
  • Weighted Purple/Off-White

Getting your hands on R.A.D® releases was tough enough — now with Gymshark entering the chat, expect a whole new battleground.

When are the Gymshark Trainers Dropping?

The all-new Gymshark trainers go live at 5pm on Wednesday, 10 September for loyalty members, and 7pm for everyone else.

The Takeaway

This collaboration is a stroke of genius from Gymshark. Breaking into footwear is notoriously tough, with lifters and runners scrutinising every detail.

By teaming up with R.A.D®, Gymshark sidesteps the pitfalls: best-in-class trainers tuned for performance, a 90s-inspired aesthetic, and a loyal fanbase already in place.

Instead of reinventing the wheel, Gymshark has created another hype machine — powered by proven R.A.D® mechanics and propelled by Gymshark’s rocket fuel. Expect to see these trainers all over gym floors soon.
