One of our fave fitness influencers, Holly B, is just ONE week away from running the iconic New York Marathon. If you’ve been tuning into her latest YouTube videos (and you really should if you haven’t), you’ll know she’s been on a pretty epic 11-week journey to prepare for the race since finding out she had a place.
Along the way Holly’s shared her training plans, her pre-run rituals, and the food she’s been eating to fuel her through it all.
And now this final week is all about smart prep for the big day. Holly’s pulling back on the distance, opting for shorter runs to let her body rejuvenate from the intense training.
As the race day gets closer Holly also chats about her goals, and whether or not she’s aiming to beat her previous marathon time. While she obviously wants to do her best, she explains that she’s not setting herself a goal time and instead is just planning on soaking up every second of an experience she never really thought she’d get to have.
This attitude is exactly why we adore Holly. It’s not just about the finish line or the bragging rights, but the joy of the journey. She’s the epitome of someone who finds joy in every step, and we can’t help but feel inspired when we watch her videos.
We also love her honesty and how openly she talks about her nerves and excitement about the marathon being just a week away. Whether she smashes her previous marathon time or not, we know Holly will have an amazing time in New York and can be proud of all the work she’s put in to get there.
