Viral sensation HSTikkyTokky will no longer be fighting on the Misfits & DAZN: X Series 012 card.
The marmite figure was due to be facing off with Australian TikToker Tayo Ricci at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on Saturday, January 20.
Both creators boast millions of combined followers from across the globe, all eagerly anticipating the kickoff of 2024 with a bang.
Fans were particularly keen to witness HS make his debut in the ring, especially after he prevailed over Zherka during a street brawl in Miami.
Speaking ahead of the event, Mams Taylor, Co-President of Misfits Boxing, said: “HSTikkyTokky versus Tayo Ricci is one of the biggest non-PPV fights we have ever delivered.
“And bringing this fight to the fans is a huge statement of our intent to take the X Series to even greater heights after a record-setting 2023.
“HSTikkyTokky against Tayo Ricci is a phenomenal way to start the year, the build-up is going to be tasty, and the fight has all the ingredients to be an absolute classic.”
However, it seems we’ll have to wait a little longer to see HS let his hands go. Late last night, news broke that the fight had been cancelled to make way for a ‘massive’ bout in Spring.
Further details are scarce, and boxing aficionados have been scratching their heads, wondering who the mega mystery opponent could be.
For now, bosses at MF will have to line up another main event to reignite the buzz for their inaugural show of 2024.
