Taking your hydration seriously this summer? Check out our honest Hunter & Gather daily electrolytes review.
I’m ashamed to say it, but electrolytes are usually at the bottom of my supplement wish list. Protein powder, creatine, and even various caffeine sources all rank higher.
It’s not that I’m blind to the benefits of proper hydration – it’s just that everything else is that little bit shinier to me. I’m like a crow in that respect. As soon as I spot a glimmer of protein, I’m all over it.
Though as the years have ticked on, my protein obsession has started to subside, and I’m beginning to wake up to the functional supplements – like electrolytes – that I’d been neglecting for so long.
So, when I heard Hunter & Gather had upgraded the taste of their Restore All Natural Daily Electrolytes, I figured – what better place to start?
With summer fast approaching and my brain in a permanent state of fog, I took the plunge and grabbed myself a mixed-flavour multipack using code GYMFLUENCERSAGENCY for 10% off.
Are they worth the hype? Let’s find out. Here’s my Hunter & Gather daily electrolytes review.
Hunter & Gather Daily Electrolytes Review: The Criteria
For the purpose of this Hunter & Gather daily electrolytes review, I’m going to be sticking to the tried-and-tested criteria I use for almost all water-soluble supplements:
- Taste – Is it a chore to get down?
- Functionality – Does it do what it says on the tin?
- Effort – Is it easy to use?
- How well it mixes – Basically, is it clumpy?
- Value for money – This one’s self-explanatory.
Let’s dive in.
The Taste Test
Kicking off this Hunter & Gather daily electrolytes review with the taste might seem counterintuitive. What use is a flavour-packed supplement if it doesn’t actually do anything?
But in the same vein, would you continually use a product that makes you recoil with every mouthful? I know I wouldn’t.
Hunter & Gather’s Restore formula comes in three varieties: Lemon & Lime, Mixed Berry, and Unflavoured.
For those who don’t know, the Mixed Berry and Lemon & Lime flavours both enjoyed a recent makeover. After feedback that the blend was too salty, the team at Hunter & Gather went back to the drawing board to sweeten the deal.
Their solution? A UK-first. Monk fruit was welcomed to the party to balance out the taste. I have to give them serious props – they could’ve taken the easy road with a hit of stevia, but that’s not the Hunter & Gather way.
Honestly, the monk fruit is a stroke of genius. Mixed Berry was comfortably the standout for me – subtly sweet without being artificially cloying. It delivered a well-rounded profile where the berry really shone through.
As you can tell from the photo, they didn’t last long.

Lemon & Lime was also a hit. You can definitely taste the natural saltiness coming through more than in the Mixed Berry, which – honestly? I’m OK with.
I’ve got a sweet tooth, but I’m not mad on anything that absolutely flavour-bombs your mouth – especially when I’m drinking it first thing in the morning.
What really surprised me was how much I vibed with the Unflavoured sachets. I came into this Hunter & Gather daily electrolytes review 99% sure I’d hate them. Salty water doesn’t exactly sound like something you’d whip up for fun.
But post-workout? These things slap. They deliver a neutral, refreshing hit that keeps things clean and simple while your body is still in chaos mode. All three get a thumbs-up from me – with Mixed Berry scoring full marks.
Functionality
Next up in this Hunter & Gather daily electrolytes review: functionality.
There’s a reason I picked Hunter & Gather’s blend over other electrolyte formulas.
Made with natural ingredients, it’s free from artificial fillers, bulking agents, or sweeteners. It’s also ridiculously low carb – less than 1g per serving for Mixed Berry and Lemon & Lime, or none at all for Unflavoured.
The electrolytes come in the form of:
- 750mg of sodium from pink Himalayan salt
- 150mg of potassium from natural potash salt
- 80mg of marine magnesium
Clean, natural, and optimally dosed. I stuck to the recommended one serving per day with my morning pint of water.
On heavy training days – after I’d sweated through a brutal HIIT session – I’d sometimes throw in a second, depending on how I was feeling.
And I have to say, the difference in just two weeks was staggering. At work, the brain fog started to lift. I felt focused like never before.
When it came time to train, I felt full of beans and ready to attack. For anyone neglecting electrolytes like I was – change your ways. They’re no joke.
Effort
I’ll keep this part of the Hunter & Gather daily electrolytes review short and sweet.
The individual sticks make this blend effortless. No scooping mishaps or spilt powder – just tear, pour, and go.
Does It Mix Well?
This might sound like a ‘grumpy old man yells at cloud’ moment, but my biggest gripe with water-soluble supplements is that they often don’t mix.
Half the time you hit the bottom of the glass and find a clump waiting for you.

Thankfully, that wasn’t a problem here.
With a quick stir, the sachets dissolved easily in a pint of water. Smaller 250ml glasses were slightly trickier, but my trusty Beavertown pint glass handled things perfectly. (This is probably the healthiest thing it’s ever held.)
Value for Money
I intentionally left this until the end of my Hunter & Gather daily electrolytes review, as you can’t really judge value without all the context.
A one-time order of 30 sachets (10 of each flavour) costs £35 – or £31.50 with the code GYMFLUENCERSAGENCY (as I used).
For roughly £1 a day, did these electrolytes deliver value? Yes – without question.
They taste great, perform even better, and don’t contain any gut-wrecking additives.
If you’re looking for an electrolyte supplement that lives up to the hype, Hunter & Gather’s Restore blend is a smart place to start.
