Love Island has returned to our screens for another season of grafting, recouplings, pearly white teeth, and pulling people aside for a chat.
We all know the producers love nothing more than throwing a footballer into the mix, and sure as night turns to day, they’ve delivered by bringing in Londoner Ronnie Vint.
But who exactly is the man swapping his football boots for sliders this summer? Here’s everything you need to know about Love Island contestant Ronnie Vint.
How Old Is Ronnie Vint?
Ronnie Vint is 27 years old and hails from Greenwich in southeast London. Upon entering the villa, he said he was excited to find his ‘future wifey.’
‘I’m 27 now, I’m mature for my age and I know what I want, and that’s hopefully to find the one,’ he added.
And he’s certainly wasted no time in doing just that, as he has already locked lips with retail manager Jess White from Stockport.
Is Ronnie Vint a Professional Footballer?
There’s no better chat-up line than dropping the old professional footballer card, and that’s something Ronnie has in his locker.
When he’s not laying it on thick in the sunshine, Ronnie plays as a centre-back for semi-professional side Lewes in East Sussex.
The club operates in the eighth tier of English football, so it’s not exactly Premier League, but it’ll certainly be enough to help him trump his fellow contestants.
His former clubs include fellow non-league sides Dartford and Dulwich Hamlet, but he has some famous friends in the game.
The new islander is a close pal of Olivia Attwood’s husband, Bradley Dack, and was the best man at their wedding. Dack, now 30, has played for the likes of Blackburn, Gillingham, and most recently Sunderland over the course of his 12-year career.
Ronnie was also joined on Dack’s stag do by Villarreal forward Ben Brereton Diaz, who most recently turned out for Premier League side Sheffield United on loan.
Who Has Ronnie Vint Dated?
It seems Bradley Dack and Olivia Attwood aren’t the only high-profile celebrities Ronnie has rubbed shoulders with.
Asked if he had dated anyone famous, he told the Sun on Sunday: ‘Yeah, a couple, but they are both in relationships now.’
He is reported to have had a fling with former Love Islander Amber Davies, who won the 2017 ITV show with her ex, Kem Cetinay.
Since going their separate ways, Amber, 29, has found a new match in West End co-star Ben Joyce. The pair met while playing leading roles in Back to the Future: The Musical in 2022.
While things weren’t meant to be between Ronnie and Amber, he will undoubtedly be hoping to secure something longer-lasting, and a share of the £50,000 winnings, during his stint on the show.
Love Island next airs at 9 pm on ITV2 on Friday, June 7, or at 10 pm on ITV2 + 1.
