YouTuber and fitness enthusiast Joe Fazer, who’s well-known for his impressive physical transformation journey, has opened up about how he’s let things slip lately on his YouTube channel and how he plans to get his gains back.
If you don’t know much about Joe’s story, let me fill you in. It all started seven years ago, when teenage Joe was clinically underweight at 6’4″ and just 50 kilos. Determined to feel good about himself and the way he looked, Joe hit the gym and, despite being utterly clueless in the beginning, his dedication paid off and he completely transformed his physique.
In the past six months though, Joe’s faced some personal challenges and admits to barely working out, which obviously has had a big impact on the way he looks.
After taking some photos recently that he really wasn’t happy with, Joe found that old spark of motivation kick in again and he’s now determined to get in the best shape of his life. And he’s laid out a comprehensive plan for his comeback.
Shifting his focus to bodybuilding, he aims to enhance the mind-muscle connection and train to failure, which is a new approach for him. And to support his training Joe’s planning on eating loads of protein-rich meals (aiming for about grams of protein per pound of body weight), taking in around 3,500 calories a day.
In the video Joe takes us through a push workout as he gets back on track, powering through a load of different moves in the gym. You can tell that the workout isn’t easy for the guy, but you have to admire his determination to take control and get back to work building the physique that he wants.
Watch this space to see how things go for Joe over the next few months as he gets back on track and regains those hard-earned gains.
