In the heat of the summer, you don’t always want to rely on coffee for your caffeine hit when you find yourself in that mid-afternoon slump. Energy drinks are the perfect alternative, giving you that caffeine boost in a refreshing, fruity way.
Most energy drinks though are full of synthetic caffeine and either loaded with sugar or artificial sweeteners, so I’ve never been a huge fan of them. But I’ve recently discovered the energy drinks from Tenzing and am officially a convert.
Tenzing Natural Energy
Tenzing is the natural alternative to all those artificial energy drinks. They all contain caffeine from Green Coffee for a natural energy boost, as well as natural fruit sugars instead of artificial sweeteners and flavourings. Their whole ethos is about keeping things as natural as possible and being as sustainable as possible.
They became carbon-negative last year, meaning that they give back more to nature than they take. This has helped them achieve B-Corp status, which means they’re voluntarily meeting higher standards of transparency, accountability, and performance. They’re also Rainforest Alliance certified, and they do a lot of work to ensure a higher quality of life for their green tea farmers in Kenya.
So Just How Delicious Are Tenzing Natural Energy Drinks?
Absolutely!
I ordered the trial pack of 12 cans of their 4 main flavours so I could test them all out and I have been completely won over by them all. They’re all full of flavour and are sweet without being overly, cloyingly sweet.

My favourite flavour is Raspberry and Yuzu but I would happily drink any one of the others from the range. Of course, you don’t just choose an energy drink for its flavour. You need to know it’ll give you the boost you’re after. And Tenzing delivers here too. Their drinks all have 32mg of caffeine per 100ml and come in 250ml and 330ml cans.
In coffee terms, the 250ml cans have about the same amount of caffeine as an Americano and the 330ml can is like knocking back a double Espresso. On top of that, Tenzing drinks also contain vitamin C from acerola cherries which also helps to fight tiredness and fatigue, and L-Theanine from green tea to balance things out and help with relaxation and calmness. And finally, they all have electrolytes from Himalayan Rock Salt to help keep you hydrated.
I’m not sure many other energy drinks can match up to all that! I’ll definitely be keeping some cans of Tenzing in the fridge now for cold, refreshing caffeine hit in the afternoons.
They taste great, are low in calories, full of ingredients for a natural energy boost, and are a definite winner with both me and my husband. He often buys a can of one of the other big brand energy drinks during busy days at work but has started looking out for Tenzing in the shops instead.
