Krissy Cela Shares Her Top 5 Tips For Gym Girls

One of the things we love about Krissy Cela is that she’s always been open about her fitness journey and doesn’t gatekeep her best advice. And in a recent YouTube video she shares her top 5 tips for gym girls, something that she likes to try and do each year as she keeps growing and learning what works best for her.

Her top tips are:

1. Stick to a Program 

Krissy is open about the fact that when she first started she would hit the gym with no real plan, trialling all sorts of different workouts. But once she committed to a structured program, that’s when she saw real results.

2. Do It for Yourself 

You have to stop waiting for someone to come along and push you to reach your fitness goals. And you can’t always rely on motivation to see you through. Instead, Krissy says, you need to find something you enjoy, work on discipline and consistency, and stay focused on why you started in the first place.

3. Track Your Weights 

Instead of fixating on the scale to see how far you’ve come, Krissy suggests keeping an eye on the weights you’re lifting. It’s a great way to see your progress and track how much stronger you’re getting. 

4. Look Good, Feel Good

While Krissy Cela knows that the gym isn’t a fashion show, she’s also keenly aware that when you wear something that makes you feel great, it can really help you push that bit more and enjoy your workouts.

5. Make Time for Rest 

Krissy once thought non-stop hustling was the way to go, but now she knows better. Rest is crucial to recharge and refocus. She encourages us to listen to our bodies and take those well-deserved breaks.
