KSI vs Dillon Danis Cancelled; New Opponent Announced

The highly anticipated KSI vs Dillon Danis cancelled as Dillion Danis withdraws.

The MMA star and full-time wind-up merchant was scheduled to compete against the YouTuber in the Misfits Boxing Series 004 headliner, on Saturday, January 14 at the OVO Arena Wembley in London, England.

Questions marks had been raised as to whether Danis was going to make it to the fight, with the jiu-jitsu blackbelt even adding fuel to the flames by claiming the fight might not happen as KSI’s team had been trying to alter the contract.

Now, according to Mams Taylor, who is KSI’s manager, the fight is off. In a message posted to Twitter, Taylor said: “I got a phone call saying Dillon is pulling out of the fight. The real reason, from what they said to me, is that he’s underprepared, he has no coach, he might be struggling with weight.

“For someone who cares about his reputation as much as he does, or what people think of him, I didn’t think that this would be something despite many people saying the opposite, ‘he’s not going to show up to the fight’. They were right.”

KSI vs Dillon Danis Cancelled: The Scoop

Both fighters reacted to the news on their own platforms. Danis tweeted, “fake news”, before following up with, “the truth will shock everyone”.

KSI on the other hand was far less candid. He said: “2 fights, 2 pullouts. Kmt.”

KSI, however, has wasted no time in finding a replacement. He’ll instead be fighting the founder and owner of the FaZe Clan, FaZe Temperrr.

The Brazilian-born American was due to face an unknown opponent on the undercard but has since been bumped up to the main event.

Temperrr, 29, whose real name is Thomas Oliveira, is no stranger to the ring. In fact, he holds a record of 2-1.

He won his first bout against King Kenny in a re-score after being announced the loser on the night, before being knocked out by fellow YouTuber Slim Albaher in August 2022. However, he returned in November, knocking out Overtflow with ease.

For Danis, it’s unclear what his next step will be, with the controversial fighter quickly building an unwanted reputation. But for KSI, the show will go on, and ring walks for the main event will begin at approximately 10:30 pm.
