The New Year has arrived, and for many of you, December 31st marked the last big celebration before diving into a month of well-intentioned resolutions.
I bet sore heads and dry mouths have prompted quite a few ‘Dry January’ declarations. However, for those still holding onto the drink, you might be diving into the more recent trend of ‘Veganuary’ instead.
If that’s the case, then Lidl has upped its offerings for those taking the plant-based pledge. And one particular find that’s causing a stir among shoppers is the Vegan fusilli green pea pasta.
Made from none other than green peas (who would’ve guessed it), the German supermarket giant is embracing the latest fitness craze with its high-protein pasta alternatives.
Each 50g portion, which weighs 100g after boiling, delivers a whopping 22.5g of protein. That translates to five macro-packed servings per 250g bag.
For the same serving size, you’re getting 54g of carbs, 10.6g of fibre, 1.8g of fat, and a modest 343 calories.
Priced at £1.99, it’s slightly more expensive than your regular pasta, but still incredibly reasonable for the amount of protein you’re getting per pack.
If you’re on the hunt for a vegan pairing, consider giving the meatless meatballs a try. Visit the Lidl website here now to browse their product range.
