Logan Paul has bet Conor McGregor an eye-watering sum that he’ll beat Dillon Danis upon his return to the ring later this month.
The YouTuber recently announced that he’ll be fighting the mixed martial artist, who is a good friend and former sparring partner of McGregor’s, on a stacked card that will also see KSI take on Tommy Fury on October 14.
There has already been near-constant trolling from both sides since the bout was revealed, with Danis posting numerous pictures of Paul’s fiance, Nina Agdal, to social media, including a nude photo of the supermodel.
McGregor has since poured further fuel onto the already raging fire, telling the media that he’ll be personally training Danis for the fight.
Speaking at Anthony Joshua‘s fight on Saturday, August 12, he said: “Dillon will win, for sure. They’re already backtracking right now, they woke an animal.
“I’ve known Dillon for years and I’ve trained with him many times, I’ve helped him. I’m guiding him, I’m going to train him for this, and I guarantee a win.”
Danis has withdrawn from several high-profile bouts, including one against KSI, drawing mockery from fighters and the public alike.
This time, however, a $100,000 penalty could be in store for him should he pull out of the fight. But McGregor said they’ll return the favour if the roles are reversed.
“I hope the lad (Paul) shows up,” he added.
“He tried to put a bill on us if we don’t show up – we’re going to put a bill on him if he doesn’t show up.”
Paul was quick to respond, posting a video to his social media making a crazy offer to the Irishman.
He said: “If you’re so confident in your boy I’ve got a bet for you. I’d bet Dillon, but he’s a broke b*tch.
“I got a $1m that says I beat your boy on October 14. Come on bro, come on, I know you’re caked up. Let’s see how confident you are.
“Imagine all the c*ke you can buy you f*cking drug addict. Two dummies, one night, October 14 I’m f*cking you both up.”
If McGregor accepts the bet it’ll add yet another dimension to an already fascinating night of action.
Danis hasn’t fought since June 2019 at Bellator 222, where he defeated Max Humphrey via first-round submission to improve to 2-0 as an MMA fighter.
Meanwhile, Paul hasn’t taken to the ring since his exhibition match with legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather in 2021.
