Love Island UK 2024 is already live in the Majorca villas, and we have quite the pick this year. Mimii Ngulube will be taking a break from work as a mental health nurse to compete in Spain, and here’s what we have on her.
Who is Mimii Ngulube?
The incredibly gorgeous Mimii Ngulube hails from Portsmouth, where she works as a mental nurse and full-time socialite. The 24-year-old was one of the first names to be confirmed for Love Island, and, in her words, she will be a ‘good friend [to the women] as well as going in there to find a man.’
From her job, Mimii has learnt to be constantly in touch with people’s emotions. She says she’s got a ‘big heart’ while bringing on a lot of ‘honesty’ when she needs to discern people’s characters. She also reckons she’s pretty funny.
When she’s not nursing anyone, Mimii enjoys outings with her girls–she’s also pretty good at getting them to open up about their situations. Never really off duty.
Consequently, she reckons she will be the ‘agony aunt’ of the group in Majorca since she’s the therapist in the house. In her words, ‘I feel like I’m the designated therapist of the group because obviously I know how to talk to people, like opening up and stuff.’
What to Expect from Mimii Ngulube?
Apart from mental health advice? Style, and loads of it, too. As much as she’s invested in her career, Mimii is a stylist at heart. Her social pages feature countless snaps at glamorous locations, from the Netherlands to Dubai, all in fabulous fits.
Her Instagram page is fully documented with her travels, and most recently, you’ll find pictures from her time in Dubai. Mimii stayed at the Five Palms Jumeirah, from which you can appreciate the city’s delightful skyline.
At any rate, we’re getting a mental health therapist and a fashion/lifestyle enthusiast in Mimii. Throw in her brutally honest nature; you’d agree she’s one contestant to watch out for on Love Island.
Mimii also admitted to looking for love in Majorca. According to her, the ‘pool in Portsmouth is not giving,’ as she has tried dating, and ‘it just hasn’t been successful.’
Fun Facts about Mimii Ngulube
Since the aim of the reality show is to get hooked, Mimii sure has a few things she expects from a potential partner.
‘I just want a man who is confident, who walks in and knows exactly what he wants. Ideally, I’d want him to have eyes only for me,’ Mimii says. She also wants him to be ‘funny and mature, but also goofy and fun.’ It’s a concise enough checklist; surely, Love Island must have someone who ticks the boxes.
We also discovered that Mimii loves to act. She played the Marty role in a local production of the musical hit film Grease.
