Neil Young has unveiled his plans for a brand new Slazenger energy drink. The founder of Water Junkie and WOW HYDRATE made the announcement on his LinkedIn page, writing “I am incredibly proud to announce that I now have the licensing rights to ‘Slazenger Energy’”
The latest addition to the entrepreneur’s line of drinks will be called Slazenger Energy Water, and it’ll be a sparkling flavoured water boosted with 75mg of caffeine. Neil’s not announced what the flavour will be yet, but did share that the drink is “a delicious, zero-calorie, sugar-free source of caffeine, enhanced with vitamins B6, C, and D.”
Young is no stranger to the world of sports drinks, having founded WOW HYDRATE back in 2016 and Water Junkie just a few months ago. WOW HYDRATE has been a huge success with a range of protein and electrolyte waters, thanks in no small part to the hard work Neil put in before stepping away to launch Water Junkie.
The new brand focuses on premium botanical drinks, infused with cold-pressed CDB. The lightly sparkling drink comes in three flavours – apple, elderflower and jasmine, wild berry, and white peach, passion flower, and ginger – and they’re all carefully crafted to create a premium drinking experience.
Neil rounded up his LinkedIn statement about the new Slazenger energy drink by writing, “We are looking to change the caffeine game with our newest addition to the market. It’s been a long time coming, but I am thrilled to re-enter the sports drink sector. Can’t wait to share with you all the exciting developments we have coming up!” And we can’t wait to see them!
