Love Island 2024 is barely underway, and we’ve already got our first love triangle of the season. At the point of the complicated throuple is fiery Welsh beauty Nicole Samuel.
Nicole entered the villa as one of the 12 contestants looking to find their forever match, as well as a share of the £50,000 prize pot and a cheeky brand deal along the way.
No stranger to the limelight, the ‘pocket rocket’ and part-time model has already made her presence known, attracting the interest of fellow islander and early contender for heartbreaker of the season, Ciaran Davies.
Ciaran’s initial flame, Harriet Blackmore, was left seething when she discovered he had eyes for Nicole. The revelation prompted the first big blow-up of the season, with half of the villa butting heads in the fallout.

Where Is Nicole Samuel From?
There must be something in the Welsh water because the valleys just keep on churning out stellar Love Island contestants. The self-confessed ‘wild girl’ hails from Aberdare, which is just around the corner from one of the show’s former winners.
She said: “Obviously, Liam Reardon lives close to me, but I don’t know him.”
How Old Is Nicole Samuel?
Love Island’s Nicole is 24 years old. After spending her teens and early twenties partying in influencer hotspots like Ibiza and Marbella, she reckons it’s now time to find a man and bring him home to meet the family.
“I just think it’s my time now that I’ve hit 24, and I’m ready to settle down,” she said.
There are no prizes for guessing the Welsh bombshell’s ideal match, though.
“My type is tall, dark, and handsome,” Nicole added. “It’s just that, isn’t it? Let’s be honest! And a rugby player.”
What Is Nicole Samuel’s Job?
In another life, the party girl could well have been a professional performer. She was crowned a world champion street dancer in 2011 and had every chance of turning it into a career.
By all accounts, she now struts her stuff in the office and admits she has all the boys at work “wrapped around her finger.”
“They do exactly what I want them to do,” she joked. “Dad just leaves me to it.
“He’s just over it now. Half the time I’m gallivanting to different countries. He’s like, ‘Are you going to work today?’ I’ll be like, ‘No, I’m in Marbella!'”
I think it’s safe to say she’ll be spending much more time in Marbella than in the office once her Love Island journey is over.
What Is Nicole Samuel’s Instagram?
Before news of her Love Island inclusion broke Nicole already had 11,000 followers on Instagram, with professional Welsh footballer Scott van-der-Sluis, who starred in the summer 2023 series of the show, among them.
After one week in the villa, she now has over triple that amount. I see a few brand deals on the horizon.
