Onyx Restock: Gymshark’s Hottest Collection Is Returning From The Shadows (Again)

The Onyx Restock Is Coming — Don’t Miss Your Second Chance

A month ago today, Gymshark unleashed Onyx 5.0 on the world at the second attempt. Almost inevitably, it sold out — fast.

In fact, it took just 25 minutes for fans (or bots) to clean up every last thread of the heavyweight’s most sought-after collection.

In the weeks since, Onyx hasn’t budged from the spotlight.

Gymshark has launched two new lines in that time, yet the comments remain flooded with one question: When’s the Onyx restock happening?

Now, they’ve answered. Onyx is returning from the shadows (again) for a second — arguably third — online drop.

Here’s what we know so far.

When’s the Onyx Restock Happening?

Gymshark teased the Onyx second coming with a Ditch & Switch event that caused absolute carnage in the streets of NYC.

Influencer megastar, Creative Director of Lifting, and all-round Onyx poster boy David Laid literally sat in the back of a van swapping non-Gymshark compression tops for the coveted Brand Blue colourway.

The location dropped last-minute, and with only 250 tops available, it sparked a mad dash across the Big Apple from those desperate to get their hands on a slice of gymwear heritage.

True to form, it was chaos.

One fan flew in from Brazil to queue, while internet sleuths decoded teaser pics like GeoGuessr champions just to get the jump on where the Ditch & Switch would take place.

All of this only fuelled the fire for the online community still clamouring for a second shot at Onyx.

Finally, Gymshark broke their silence with three words: “July. Be Ready.”

The short-and-sweet announcement was accompanied by a collage of fan comments calling for an Onyx restock — all but confirming the news everyone had been screaming for.

While the exact date remains under wraps, one thing’s certain: the Onyx restock is happening this July, and it might just be your final chance.

Why the Onyx Restock Had to Happen

Onyx has always been ultra-exclusive and painfully limited — that’s part of the appeal.

Past iterations have resold on sites like eBay, Vinted, and Depop for upwards of £500.

The demand was always huge, but this time it hit a new level.

After a five-year hiatus — plus an influx of new Gymshark devotees — this wave of hysteria caught the brand off guard.

On launch day, Gymshark’s website received three times more traffic than Black Friday. It simply couldn’t handle the Onyx frenzy.

The lightning-fast sell-out — coupled with a suspected surge of bots — left a sour taste for many long-time fans. Despite Gymshark’s insistence that snipers didn’t make it through on the second attempt, the optics weren’t great.

Resale sites were instantly flooded, and it clashed with the brand’s message that Onyx was “only for real fans.”

To be fair, Gymshark did what they could. But an Onyx restock had to happen — or risk alienating a loyal fanbase who never even had a fair shot.

Whether Gymshark will enforce buying limits or restrict accounts that already secured Onyx gear remains to be seen.

Either way, this restock is the redemption arc the community’s been demanding.

What Is Gymshark Onyx?

Gymshark’s Onyx collection isn’t just hyped — it’s legendary.

Think superhero-grade compression, sculpted fits, and Spidey-style panelling that clings in all the right places. It’s performance wear that makes you feel unstoppable the second you hit the squat rack.

This Onyx restock includes short-sleeve, long-sleeve, and tank silhouettes — all built with dense, premium fabric, raised rubber logos, and razor-sharp detailing.

Dropping in Onyx Grey, Carmine Red, and the iconic Brand Blue, these pieces are made to move — and known to vanish from carts in minutes.

Don’t blink.
