We Tasted the Whole Sweet Freedom Fizz Line-Up — Here’s What Sparkled
Sweet Freedom’s mission to make the world a little sweeter — without the sugar crash — began in 2012 with an award-winning fruit syrup.
What started as a humble natural pick-me-up quickly blossomed into a plant-based empire of guilt-free treats: think spreads, Choc Shots, and a rainbow of those irresistibly flavoured syrups.
Today, their unmistakable bear mascot holds pride of place on supermarket shelves across the UK, bringing low-calorie joy to cupboards nationwide.
From Vegan Honeee to TikTok-dominating instant hot chocolates, it’s hard to talk about not-so-naughty treats without Sweet Freedom’s name entering the conversation.
The better-for-you, better-for-the-planet brand has carved out its niche at the lip-licking intersection of breakfast and pudding.
Think pancakes, coffees, cupcakes — all the good stuff.
In something of a twist, Sweet Freedom’s latest launch bucks the trend of everything we’ve seen so far from the wholesome operator.
Enter: Sweet Freedom Fizz — a quartet of lightly flavoured sparkling waters, each with its own refreshing twist.
These are bubbles with benefits — and they’ve landed just in time for summer.
Intrigued by this refreshing side-quest, I grabbed a case of all four flavours (using code GYMFLUENCERSAGENCY for 15% off), cracked them open, and sent them down the hatch.
Here’s what I thought about every flavour of Sweet Freedom Fizz.
Sweet Freedom Fizz: Sunshine in a Sip
Though Sweet Freedom Fizz may seem slightly out of left field, these pocket-sized cans of goodness still stick firmly to the brand’s MO: no artificial sweeteners, no artificial flavours, and no refined sugar.
Low in calories, each flavour features its own carefully chosen hero ingredient — designed to support different aspects of wellbeing with every sip. Here’s the full line-up:
- Pineapple & Coconut (Wellbeing) – Dandelion leaf and baobab bring the good vibes, supporting digestion, gut health, and overall harmony.
- Raspberry & Cranberry (Immunity) – Packed with vitamin C-rich acerola fruit to support immunity, skin health, and digestion.
- Mango & Mandarin (Zen) – Contains schisandra berry (a.k.a. the wonder berry) for stress and nervous system support.
- Lime & Mint (Zing) – Enriched with natural caffeine sources like kola nuts and guarana for a wholesome kickstart.
While each vibrant option delivers its own unique superpower, they all share one standout ingredient — and it’s a newbie to the UK sweetener scene: upcycled cocoa juice.
It might sound chocolatey, but it’s not. Instead, it brings a light tropical tang that adds natural sweetness and depth. True to Sweet Freedom’s sustainable ethos, the cocoa juice in these bubbly beauties is sourced from previously discarded cocoa pulp.
That means farmers are now getting paid for more of their harvest. You’ve got to give credit where it’s due — Sweet Freedom has quite literally turned waste into wonder. And I mean that with the utmost respect.
What was once tossed away now adds a touch of sweetness to an entirely new range of drinks — thrifty, resourceful, and nothing short of sheer brilliance.
My Review of Every Sweet Freedom Fizz Flavour
Before we even get into taste, can we take a moment for the cans?

They say you eat with your eyes — well, I drink with mine. These little beauties scream summer and radiate wellness from the get-go. There’s even a bit of texture on them, which is a nice tactile bonus.
And of course, it goes without saying: they’re fully recyclable. Does what’s inside match the aesthetic? Let’s find out.
Pineapple & Coconut (Wellbeing)
This is quite literally sunshine in a can. In one sip, you’re transported to a tropical island, sipping Piña Coladas from a hollowed-out coconut shell — pure, untainted bliss.
The first note you get is a refreshing zap of pineapple, closely followed by coconut’s arrival to the party. It’s light, thirst-quenching, and squeaky clean on the palate — no cloying sweetness in sight.
Raspberry & Cranberry (Immunity)
I found this to be the most subtle flavour of the lot, but nonetheless satisfying. Expect more cranberry than raspberry, and just the right amount of tang to make you smack your lips and head back for more.
Mango & Mandarin (Zen)
If calm had a flavour, this might be it. The mango brings that soft, tropical sweetness, while the mandarin adds a zesty, citrusy top note that keeps things bright without being punchy.
It’s smooth, mellow, and feels like a deep breath in a can. Ideal for a quiet moment or when you want to channel your inner “everything’s fine” energy.
Lime & Mint (Zing)
If you’re a fan of that classic mojito combo, then you’ll adore this Sweet Freedom Fizz flavour. When I say this strikes the perfect balance of lime and mint, I mean it. Both work in harmony to light up your taste buds with zesty and crisp notes — the perfect tonic for warm weather.
It’s the definition of freshness, and without doubt my personal favourite. The added wellness boosters in the other flavours are more slow burners, so it’s difficult to say whether they boosted my immunity or wellbeing after just a few cans.
This one, however, definitely lived up to its name and put a spring in my step. Let me tell you, that box did not last long.
Sweet Freedom Fizz: My Takeaway
If you’re expecting chemically, sugar-laden flavour bombs, Sweet Freedom Fizz won’t be for you. These are lightly flavoured sparkling waters that sit closer to seltzers than fizzy drinks — and I mean that in the best way possible.
Each one tickles the tongue just enough to keep you swigging. They’re exactly as described: fresh, clean, with a natural-forward profile that takes hydration to new heights.
For as few as 14 calories and just 2.4g of sugar, you can sip your way through summer with a drink that does more. More for you, more for your taste buds, and more for the planet.
If you’re keen to try everything Sweet Freedom Fizz has to offer, you can snag a taster pack for just £6. The pack includes one 250ml can of all four flavours — and plenty of good times.
Subscribing will save you 15%, as will code GYMFLUENCERSAGENCY at checkout. Head to Sweet Freedom’s website to discover your summer crush in a can.
