SPAR has announced it is among a host of stores beginning to stock PRIME Hydration in a bid to increase the popular drink’s availability.
The brainchild of YouTuber KSI and Logan Paul, PRIME has achieved cult status since it was launched early last year.
Fans have travelled the length and breadth of the country to snag a bottle, while ‘black-market’ sellers have also disrupted the supply chain.
Now, SPAR says it wants to help make the sought-after drink obtainable to everyday shoppers. It said in a statement: “SPAR is among the first to stock the Prime Hydration Energy Drink and it is currently available at participating SPAR stores in England, Scotland and Wales with more locations looking to make the product obtainable over the coming weeks.”
KSI has been outspoken on his frustrations at trying to boost the supply of the in-demand product. Entering 2023 he vowed to up the rollout of PRIME not only in the UK but in other countries, too.
As part of that pledge, Asda, Aldi, Morrisons and Costco are also receiving deliveries. However, his plan doesn’t seem to have had the desired effect so far.
Sainsbury’s had to release a statement after its customer service line was inundated with calls from people trying to find out when and in what stores PRIME would be available.
It seems like we’ll have to wait a little longer until PRIME-mania dies down.
