Represent 247, the performance extension of luxury British streetwear brand Represent has announced the signing of Elite 15 HYROX athlete Michael Sandbach to its athlete roster: TEAM 247.
Michael is the UK’s top HYROX athlete, securing second spot at this year’s World Championships in Nice and holding the Pro Doubles record.
He has consistently performed at the highest level since his first race in 2021 and was the first British man to break the 60-minute mark in the Pro division.
Michael hails from Manchester where he and his family currently live, and where Represent was born. It’s this shared local heritage that Represent believes provides the bedrock for the pair’s aligned partnership.
Speaking on the signing, Represent Clothing Creative Director, George Heaton, said: “Team 247 is the most exclusive athletic collective on earth, we work with the best athletes who embody the mission of dedication and discipline, which are fundamental values at 247.
“Michael Sandbach is a strong example of someone who belongs in the Team, he’s an unbelievable competitor pushing the limits of human performance who has come to his achievements through repetitive dedication and the will to push through and through.
“Watching his performance under adversity in the 2024 HYROX World Championships I knew we needed to have him on the team and to support him as he looks to go one better this year and claim gold in 2025.”
The signing marks another step forward in Represent 247’s mission to assemble a team of world-class athletes that reflect the brand’s approach.
“I’m thrilled to announce that I am joining TEAM 247,” Michael added. “As an athlete working with a brand isn’t just about support, it’s about a shared vision and belief in where you are going as a team.
“I am on a journey of daily discipline, hammering my craft to become the best athlete in the sport of HYROX and George and the team at Represent mirror that energy in their drive as a brand. I’m excited to see what our shared passions will produce in the coming months.”
Michael joins other TEAM 247 athletes including CrossFit Games competitor Victor Hoffer, HYROX Doubles World Champion, Jake Dearden, and ultrarunner Will Goodge.
