The Rock’s Energy Drink ZOA Reveals Special Edition Black Adam Cans At Comic-Con

We’ve seen some pretty special collaborations in the fitness industry of late, but the Rock’s ZOA Energy launching its first promotional partnership with DC Films’ Black Adam at Comic-Con International in San Diego will be hard to beat.

After becoming the fastest-growing energy drink on the market, and expanding into the pre-workout game earlier this year with the launch of ZOA+, the former WWE champion features on the limited-edition cans as Black Adam himself. 

A finger in both pies, Dwayne Johnson is the star and producer of the new action-adventure thriller, and this latest stunt will have only intensified the buzz ahead of the film’s scheduled October release.

Set to hit the market in September, Comic-Con attendees were able to get their hands on a can ahead of time at ZOA’s interactive footprint located in the Fan Zone area, just outside the San Diego Convention Center, on Saturday, July 24.

They were also greeted by a life-sized Black Adam standee and 3D Black Adam ZOA can.

Released in three delicious flavours – White Peach, Tropical Punch, and Wild Orange – the cans contain all the energy of Black Adam’s almighty powers which were bestowed on him by the Egyptian gods.

And Dwayne Johnson has said the pairing couldn’t have been a better fit, teasing that there is plenty more fun to come from this link-up. 

“The synergy between our two brands, Black Adam and ZOA, is perfect, so much so that this is the first time DC Entertainment has ever approved a partnership with an energy drink,” he said. 

“I’m incredibly excited to introduce our comic and movie-loving audience to a healthy, positive boost of energy that fits into every lifestyle, but the unveiling at Comic-Con is just the beginning; we have so many more big fun surprises to come as part of our ZOA and Black Adam partnership. All with one goal in mind, to deliver for our number one boss, the consumers.”
