Tommy Fury shocked fans with his most recent Instagram post. The boxer and influencer extraordinaire posted a snap of him lying in a hospital bed after undergoing secret surgery on a longstanding hand injury.
Fury, who is the half brother of heavyweight legend, Tyson, said he has been fighting through extreme pain for the past four years.
During that time, the 24-year-old has had a total of 9 bouts, remarkably winning the lot.
Writing on social media, he said: “Since 2019 I have been dealing with a hand injury that I’ve never spoken about/shared online.

“Since my third professional fight, I have been trying to manage this injury, training and fighting through extreme pain which led me to often not be able to use my right hand at all.”
Fury’s most recent outing was against arch-nemesis KSI in October last year. Despite a largely laboured display, the former Love Island star came away with a victory by way of a unanimous decision – albeit controversially.
Shedding some light on why he wasn’t at his sparkling best, Fury added: “For the last four weeks of my last fight camp I trained solely with my left hand until fight night.
“This morning I underwent the surgery I’ve been putting off for years as I know this is the only way my hand will heal and that I can move forward with my boxing career.
“I’m excited for my recovery journey and to ready to be back feeling and giving 100%.”
