We Tested MYOM for a Week — Here’s Our Honest Review

We tried MYOM for a week to see if DIY oat milk lives up to the hype.

Let me start by saying this. I’m not an oat milk drinker. I’d just never had much of a reason to try it before now and have been quite happy with my usual blue-top cow’s milk.

But after seeing a load of TikToks about MYOM and how great it is I was just so curious to try it for myself. And I think I may have been converted!

If you fancy giving it a try for yourself you can save 15% off your order when you use our MYOM discount code GYMFLUENCERSAGENCY at the online checkout.

So let’s get into what MYOM actually is, and why it may well have made an oat milk drinker out of me!

MYOM

First things first. What actually is MYOM? Well, it’s basically oat milk that you mix up yourself whenever you need it.

So what you get is these brilliant little pouches of an oat blend that you squeeze into a bottle and mix up with water to make fresh, tasty oat milk.

I picked up the 500ml oat milk starter bundle for £12.99, which comes with a gorgeous 500ml glass bottle and 6 pouches of the oat blend. It was perfect for someone like me who’s trying the whole thing for the first time, because it made up enough milk for me to really feel like I was giving it a good try but it didn’t feel like too much of a commitment!

Now I’ve tried it though I’ll definitely be ordering more pouches to stash in the cupboard because this stuff is low key genius.

It’s so easy to make up when you need it, and nutritionally speaking is a great alternative to my usual milk. It’s enriched with calcium, vitamin B12, vitamin D3, and iodine, so it’s great for supporting bone health and energy levels.

MYOM is also naturally low in salt and even has less sugar in it than semi-skimmed cow’s milk!

Making It at Home

I was a bit worried that mixing up milk might feel like a faff, but it’s honestly so easy and actually kind of fun.

You just squeeze the pouch into a bottle, add cold water, give it a shake and you’re done. It takes maybe 30 seconds and the texture comes out perfectly smooth every time.

Perfect in Hot Drinks

The biggest test for me was how MYOM would taste in my tea and coffee. Having never had oat milk before I really wasn’t sure what to expect, but I quickly grew to really like it.

It has a lovely creamy taste and a bit of subtle sweetness that works so well in hot drinks. I’ve even used it in hot chocolate for the kids and it got the thumbs up all round.

Always Ready When You Need It

The real game-changer is how easy it is to keep on hand. I love knowing there’s a pouch or two sitting in the cupboard.

If I wake up and realise we’re out of milk, there’s zero panic. I just mix up a fresh batch and get on with my morning.

Final Thoughts

After a week of using MYOM I’m genuinely impressed. It’s simple, it tastes great, and it fits around a busy family life without any stress.

If you want to give it a try, don’t forget you can save 15% with our MYOM discount code GYMFLUENCERSAGENCY at the online checkout.

I might not be ditching cow’s milk completely, but I’ve definitely found a new favourite to keep stocked.

Head to the MYOM website to find out more about how it all works and to grab some pouches to try it for yourself.
