Why You Need To Fill Your Fridge With Dash Water

It is getting seriously hot out there and staying properly hydrated is more important than ever. But honestly, there’s only so much plain water a person can drink before it starts to get really boring.

And if you’re keeping an eye on your calorie intake, you don’t want to end up drinking loads of sugar-filled fizzy drinks (even though they taste amazing, straight from the fridge on a boiling hot day!).

The main alternative is diet versions of these drinks, but when they’re packed with artificial sweeteners the taste (for me at least) is just not that appealing. So I was really excited to discover a brilliant alternative to plain water and sugary fizzy drinks – Dash water.

Dash water

Dash was created back in 2017 by Jack Scott and Alex Wright, who is on a bit of a mission to fill a gap in the market for fizzy drinks without the sugar and calories.

They’ve definitely hit the mark with what they’ve come up with – sparkling spring water infused with real wonky fruit.

You read that right… Wonky fruit!

See, the real magic of Dash Water is that all the fruit and veg they use to flavour their drinks is the wonky, ugly stuff that’s rejected by supermarkets and would otherwise end up in the bin.

These green credentials are what really make them stand out in the soft drinks market. Their goal is to save 2500 tonnes of waste by 2025 and they’re a certified B corporation.  This basically means that they’re committed to using their business as a force for good, not just for profits.

So what fruity flavours are available in the Dash Water range?

At the moment you can get:

  • Blackcurrant
  • Peach
  • Lemon
  • Raspberry
  • Mango
  • Cucumber

And you can also get something a bit different with their soda water which comes in limes and garden mint, rhubarb and fiery ginger, and bitter orange and grapefruit flavours.

Dash Water Review

I tried four different flavours of Dash water and they’re all really good. The flavours are subtle but delicious, and they’re all really refreshing – especially when they’re ice cold from the fridge.

The thing to keep in mind when you try Dash is that this is water, it’s not pop or soda.  If you buy it expecting a strong, sweet flavour as you would get from a can of fizzy drink like Fanta, then you’ll be disappointed.

Dash Water

Dash water is just that – sparkling natural spring water made into something special by being infused with that lovely wonky fruit.

There’s no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners (so no nasty aftertaste), and zero calories.

It’s one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve tried in a while and makes drinking enough water so easy (and enjoyable!).

Oh, and the cans are pretty too!  The design is fun and colourful and the cans have an almost matte finish to them which makes them feel lovely to hold.

And of course, the cans are made from recycled aluminium and are recyclable again once you’ve finished with them.

So if you’re looking for a way to stay hydrated in the heat that’s light, tasty, and refreshing I would definitely recommend you give Dash water a go.
