It’s already been a month since Gymshark swung open the doors to its first brick-and-mortar store on the continent.
While others retreat from the high street, the apparel giant is planting flags in some of the biggest cities across the globe.
Dubai, Manchester, and London all have dedicated bases fans can visit to shop their favourite looks in real life. New York is about to join the party too, with construction works already well underway ahead of a Stateside unveiling.
In June, Amsterdam was added to that list. The Dutch capital showed up in full force to welcome Gymshark to the Netherlands.
Athlete meet-and-greets, DJs supplying the vibes, and plenty of freebies kept shoppers entertained on the day.
The launch was teeming with that unmistakable Gymshark energy, and the hype hasn’t died down since.
Curious to see what all the excitement is about? Here’s everything you need to know about Gymshark Amsterdam.
Where is Gymshark Amsterdam?
Gymshark Amsterdam is located slap-bang in the middle of Kalverstraat.
For those of you unfamiliar with the city of tulips and picturesque canals, Kalverstraat is one of Amsterdam’s busiest shopping streets.
It runs roughly 750m from Dam Square to Muntplein square, with eye-watering rent rates and plenty of footfall.
In other words: Gymshark Amsterdam is practically unmissable, and certainly not hard to find.
The full address is:
Kalverstraat 178, 1012 XG Amsterdam, Netherlands
What’s on Offer at Gymshark Amsterdam?
Gymshark Amsterdam is home to the brand’s latest and most sought-after lines.
Unlike Gymshark’s outlet spot in Roermond, this flagship space stocks nearly all the collections dominating gym floors right now.
Think Vital, Lift, the new Gymshark Lifting Club drop, and more.

The store was also one of just two to receive limited stock of the exclusive Onyx Midnight release — a theme that’s set to continue throughout future debuts.
Alongside Gymshark’s core range, fans can snag Amsterdam-exclusive merch that’s unavailable anywhere else.
As is the Gymshark way, it’ll also double up as a base for free events and community activations like Run and Conditioning clubs.

Why Gymshark Chose Amsterdam
Picking a city to launch your first European store is no mean feat. The continent is home to some of the world’s most iconic travel and retail destinations. Paris and Milan are two that spring to mind.
In a recent vlog, Gymshark founder and CEO, Ben Francis, revealed why Amsterdam made the grade — while giving us a closer look at the store’s inner workings.
“The Netherlands is huge for Gymshark,” he said. “It’s actually one of our biggest countries, and it’s been somewhere we’ve had massive support for a long, long time.
“We did a Lift Amsterdam event here a few years back (2019) that went really well.”
Francis and co weren’t let down by supporters. One young fan pitched up at 1am — 10 hours before Gymshark Amsterdam opened — to be first in line.

His patience was rewarded with the honour of cutting the ribbon by Gymshark’s Chief Branding Officer, Noel Mack.
Another supporter, who spoke to Francis, said he booked a hostel for the evening, leaving a nightclub when it closed at 3am to head straight to the launch.
“I genuinely cannot believe how well it’s done,” Francis added. “The queues are around the block, the feedback from everyone has been incredible, and our first European store is truly getting there.
“Listen, don’t get me wrong, it’s not like everything went perfectly. There are certain things I would change. But overall, I’m absolutely blown away.
“To stand here on Kalverstraat in Amsterdam, see the Gymshark logo, see the mannequins, see the store completely filled with people who are buzzing, and knowing how this morning went, is a special, special day. I’m really looking forward to what’s to come.”
