Applied Nutrition has released a new BodyFuel flavour, inspired by UFC rising star Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett.
The English mixed martial artist – who is 3-0 in the UFC – signed a deal with the brand to become an official ambassador in January this year.
Bosses also snapped up fellow Liverpudlian fighter Molly McCann as part of the move, who is a close friend of Pimblett’s.
The 28-year-old has already established himself as a fan favourite since joining Dana White’s organisation due to his huge personality and aggressive style in the octagon.
Alongside lending his name to a host of Applied Nutrition’s formulas, part of the reason Pimblett was courted by the brand was to aid its expansion into the US market.
At the time, Pimblett said: “I’m made up to be working with Applied and bringing ABE to the States. The company is from the same place I live (Liverpool) and together we’re here to take the US by storm and launch ABE with a bang.
“I’ve used Applied Nutrition products and ABE for ages so I’m buzzing to now work with the brand and Molly (McCann) who’s also part of the Applied Nutrition family.
“It’s going to be massive, the products are the best and the American people are going to love it. The brand is for people who take training seriously, not for the beginner.”
The fresh flavour, which has been aptly named ‘Paddy Punch’, is already available on Applied Nutrition’s website. A pack of 12 bottles, which are clad with Pimblett’s signature pose, cost £19.95.
BodyFuel is a sugar-free electrolyte and vitamin water designed to power intense workouts. It contains 665mg of electrolytes, BCAAs for recovery, B Vitamins for energy, Vitamin D for immunity, and Vitamin C+E for antioxidants.
