In a wild turn of events CrossFit have fired games director Dave Castro just weeks ahead of the 2022 season beginning. Fired directly by CrossFit CEO Eric Roza he said “Dave has assembled a world-class team, which will now be led by Justin Bergh, and we are excited to see this new generation of leadership build on his legacy as we work together to bring our Sport to the next level of success”
Dave Castro began as a coach and intern at CrossFit and after a 15 year career has been the face and main driving force behind the brand and who ultimately has been responsible for creating the events that put the worlds best CrossFit athletes to the ultimate test include Mathew Fraser and Noah Ohlsen.

The truth behind the dramatic firing will eventually come out and with the games due to start in early 2022 the CrossFit team are going to need to do a sharp turnaround to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Rumours are being circulated that we might see Dave Castro head to the Rogue Games to become their new games director and to directly compete with CrossFit games.
