American MMA fighter Dillon Danis has been causing quite a stir over on X (the social media site formerly known as Twitter) in the run up to his fight with Logan Paul.
The fight is set to take place on October 14th in Manchester, and while there wasn’t much buzz about it initially, it’s safe to say that it’s now attracting a lot of attention thanks to Danis’ antics.
He’s taken trash-talking and trolling to a whole new level since the fight was announced, but instead of focusing his attacks on Paul himself he’s been sharing content about Paul’s fiance, Nina Agdal. Thanks in part to the NSFW nature of what he’s been sharing, Danis’ posts about Agdal have been going seriously viral.
In the last month he’s managed to reach 2 billion post impressions, which is just insane. Generally speaking, a big account on X with a few million followers might see numbers in the arena of a couple of hundred million impressions in a month. So for Dillon, who has around 790K followers, to reach 2 billion impressions is just unheard of.
And while most people would be pretty outraged at their partner being trolled so intensely online, Logan Paul seems to be taking it all in his stride at the moment. In an interview with comedian Andrew Schulz he explained that he has such a good relationship with Agdal that this sort of thing doesn’t bother them, and that he knows it’s all in the name of building hype for the fight.
Time will tell if the fight itself actually lives up to that hype!
