Everything You Need To Know About Gymshark Pre Workout

If you’re into your fitness and keep a keen eye on the movers and shakers of the industry you’ll have noticed that something has shook the industry: the new Gymshark pre workout; unless you’ve been living under a rock, that is.

Following 7 years of domination in the fitness apparel game, industry giant Gymshark has taken its first step into the world of sports nutrition with Gymshark Pre.

The release has understandably created a lot of buzz, so we thought we’d take the time to break down everything you need to know about the giant’s shiny new creation.

Gymshark Pre Workout: The Scoop

On the surface, it seems like an unexpected move, but if you look a little deeper the signs that something like this has been coming have been there for a little while now.

Anyone familiar with Gymshark will know CEO Ben Francis’s rags-to-riches success story. Having previously worked as a delivery boy for Pizza Hut, Francis started Gymshark in 2012 with a school friend in the garage of his parent’s home in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.

Interestingly, it was originally launched as a supplements company, but after the pair were unable to afford stock or set up supply chains they instead opted to create the apparel that has become so well known and loved today.

Since then, Gymshark’s rise has been astronomical, and Francis has found himself a place on Forbes’ revered 30 Under 30 list and received an MBE.

Just last year a brand-new Gymshark megastore was opened in central London – an innovative move that was perhaps a hint that Francis had started to think of new ways he could progress Gymshark even further.

Gymshark Pre will undoubtedly signal further strides into the world of supplementation, so watch this space!

The All-Important Formula

The clothing company’s first-ever supplement features a moderate combination of ingredients and dosages, which is probably sensible given the huge audience it has been introduced to.

The formula – which was announced to the world on January 12 – includes 4g of citrulline malate at a 2:1 ratio to get those muscles pumped, 3.25g of creatine for strength and size, and 2g of beta-alanine to drive performance and endurance.

Completing the supercharged blend are B vitamins, a low 200mg of taurine, 100mg of theacrine, and for that all-important boost, 200mg of caffeine.

For the more seasoned connoisseurs of pre-workout, the dosages provide room to double up. However, the brand and supplement do only recommend throwing down a single serving, of which there are 30 in every tub.

It’s clear this has been launched as a slightly tapered-down pre-workout that’s aimed towards the wider fitness community, rather than the powerlifters of the world.

But nonetheless, it’ll provide a really accessible and trustworthy option for anyone looking to try their first pre-workout.

How Much Does Gymshark Pre Workout Cost?

The price of Gymshark Pre certainly supports the theory that it is being floated to the mainstream at £30, or $36.66, a tub. It comes in just one flavour, Blue Raspberry, and is currently a limited edition item sold in-store, online through its website, and at events.

When Will It Be Rolled Out To The Rest Of The World?

In short, we don’t know. Gymshark has customers in over 230 countries across its 14 online stores, so setting up the supply chain shouldn’t prove too much of an issue.

However, it hasn’t yet outlined plans to take the product internationally or suggested a timeframe for when it could happen.

But if you are in the UK and want to get your hands on Gymshark’s inaugural supplement then head to its online store while stocks last!
