Pleading guilty to the charges and facing up to £77,000 in fines, Andreas Michli admitted that he continued to operate his gym Zone during the November 2020-September 2021 period where many lockdown and closure rules were being enforced across the country. District Judge Dennis Brennan labelled Michli’s actions as “when everyone else was having to suffer, he was operating and operating for money” and later said “it disturbed the local community”.

£2,250, £190 and £2,500 in costs were slapped on Michli during the first lockdown with the second £77,000+£9,000 in costs added during the November 2020 lockdown where the country was forced to shut businesses and limit exposure to others.

With 12 charges and all of these fines and costs due it’s uncertain what will happen to Zone gym and it’s future.
