Gymshark66 Challenge Returns: What to Expect and How to Take Part

Everything You Need to Know About the Gymshark66 Challenge & How to Get Started

The new year, new me slogan has become a bit of a modern meme, and perhaps not all too fairly.

While it’s often recited in a sarcastic tone, the message is still rock solid. The New Year represents a perfect checkpoint to start afresh, set new goals, and attack the months ahead with intention.

It’s a clean slate like no other — a chance to right the wrongs of the previous 12 months, or years, in some cases.

If you’re stepping into 2026 with renewed motivation, you might want to know about the Gymshark66 Challenge.

Right on cue, the iconic gymwear brand has brought back its annual transformation plan to help its community stack beneficial habits and ensure they remain set in stone.

Here’s what you need to know about the Gymshark66 Challenge, from what it is to how to get involved.

What is the Gymshark66 Challenge?

The Gymshark66 Challenge is a wellness and fitness movement aimed at helping people build positive habits that stick.

As a concept, it’s relatively straightforward: choose your habits and practise them every day for 66 days.

However, unlike more extreme versions like 75 Hard, the Gymshark66 Challenge is much friendlier to beginners.

Rooted in the idea that it takes around 66 days to establish a new routine, participants pick three daily habits across training, health, and mindset.

These can be small commitments like reading 10 pages of a book, meditating for 10 minutes, spending an hour at the gym, or even drinking an extra glass of water a day.

Once you’ve locked in your choices on the Gymshark Training App, all you have to do is tick them off. Downloading the app isn’t essential for taking part, though it does offer several perks.

Alongside that extra layer of accountability, participants can access thousands of free workouts for all goals and fitness levels, a daily habit tracker, a digital workout logbook, and plenty more.

It doesn’t cost anything to take part or access the Gymshark66 features, but it could still prove the best investment you make in 2026.

When Does the Gymshark66 Challenge Start?

The Gymshark66 Challenge officially begins on Thursday, January 1st, which feels rather fitting.

That being said, if you’re having one final calorie gorge and still reeling from New Year’s Eve antics, you can choose to start when you like.

January 1st is simply the date all the content goes live on Gymshark’s Training App.

Becoming a Gymshark Athlete Through Gymshark66

The Gymshark66 Challenge has proved life-changing in more ways than one for some participants.

Last year, Sophie Reid and Kyle Massi received a personal call from Gymshark’s founder and CEO, Ben Francis, to tell them they’d earned a spot on the brand’s prestigious roster of sponsored athletes.

That priceless opportunity is back on the table for two more fitness hopefuls this time around.

“Every year, we see hundreds of inspirational people take part in Gymshark66,” Gymshark wrote in an announcement.

“So we’re bringing back the competition for you to become our very next Gymshark Athlete. We’re on the hunt for one person ready to share their journey and inspire others within the community.

“You don’t need the biggest biceps, heaviest squat or fastest 5K time – but you do need to show your commitment to make positive change, and show up every day, for 66 days, inspiring others along the way.”

As a general rule of thumb, social posts aren’t necessary to take part in the Gymshark66 Challenge. But if you want to be seen and rewarded with Gymshark Athlete status, you certainly need to make some noise.

And doing so brings big rewards. Gymshark Athletes receive several perks, including a year’s supply of apparel, their own Gymshark photoshoot, a free gym membership, and an all-expenses-paid trip to one of the iconic LIFT events.

More information on how you can enter the Gymshark66 Athlete competition is available on the brand’s website.

Should You Take Part in the Gymshark66 Challenge?

Regardless of whether you’ve already knuckled down into your Winter Arc and need some mid-bulk motivation, or you’re just dipping your toe into the fitness waters, there’s literally no downside to entering the Gymshark66 Challenge.

It’s free to take part, stacked with invaluable resources, and might just help you finally crack those hard-to-hit habits that have proved so elusive in years prior.

There’s no punishment or telling-off if you fail. But if you can show up for 66 days and succeed, the rewards could be untold. Head to Gymshark’s website to discover more.
