Juno Bamboo Water Rebrands as Junday With Refined Recipe and Fresh Can Design

Functional soft drink brand Juno, known for its range of sparkling bamboo water, has rebranded to ‘Junday’.

But it’s not just the name which has changed: the company has undergone a full transformation, with new cans, designs, and even new recipes.

Junday founder Guillaume Poncet announced on Instagram that the change was partly due to a trademark issue with the Juno name, which could have limited their plans to expand beyond the UK and into products beyond drinks – all part of their long-term vision to build the world’s first bamboo-powered wellness brand.

The creative team in charge of the rebrand said that this project was all about “brand evolution rather than reinvention, so existing drinkers could still easily recognise products on-shelf, whilst attracting new customers with a clearer proposition”.

What Does ‘Junday’ Mean? 

The new name reflects the company’s values and ethos of creating antioxidant-rich drinks which consistently support your body’s natural defences:

  • ‘JUN’ is from a Japanese character meaning pure, clean, and simple.
  • ‘DAY’ represents the wellness rituals and everyday routines that the brand supports.

“THIS ISN’T JUST A NEW CAN”

Poncet has been clear from the get-go that this isn’t just about a new can. Instead, he says the products are now cleaner, healthier, and tastier, and provide “more wellness in every sip”.

And Junday has expanded on that, saying that it has tweaked its recipe to include “more of the goof stuff” and that the existing passionfruit, yuzu, and mango flavours now have a “smoother, more refined taste”.

Cans of the vegan-friendly, collagen-boosting drink are available direct from the brand’s website, with prices starting at £23.90 for a pack of 12.
