Just as you thought KSI and Tommy Fury’s rivalry was dwindling, one of them goes and kicks a jerry can of fuel on the fire.
Both fighters are once again trending after KSI made yet another bold statement about Tommy Fury’s boxing career.
The YouTube icon and co-founder of PRIME labelled himself ‘the biggest fight Fury will ever have’ while admitting he’d be open to a rematch against the 24-year-old.
Fury handed KSI the first defeat of his career in controversial fashion, securing a unanimous-decision victory over ‘The Nightmare’ following a laboured display.
It’s fair to say KSI hasn’t taken the defeat gracefully. He’s stated countless times he was ‘robbed’ of a win due to the judges supposedly pandering to the Fury family name.
Once again discussing the topic on the Sidemen’s podcast, Sidecast, he said: “I feel like I want him to be reminded publicly he didn’t win that fight. I guess people are there like, ‘You should let it go, you lost.’
“But maybe it’s going to take a while for me to say, ‘Yeah I lost, and I’m happy with it.’
“I don’t think I’ll ever be okay with it, and that’s fine.
“I don’t think he will get any money for his next fight, there’s no audience for him and Jake Paul wouldn’t want to fight him again.”
Asked whether he would step back in the ring with Fury, the 30-year-old replied, “I would be down, yeah. I’m the biggest fight he will ever have.”
Before any talks of a rematch gain traction, it looks as if Fury will be taking part in a bizarre exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr.
The former four-weight world champion, who is 30 years Fury’s senior, has confirmed talks are taking place for a show in Saudi Arabia.
He said: “Saudi Arabia at the moment will probably pay what I’m looking for to make an exhibition happen. Dealing with the Saudis I’ll say that I’m 75 per cent sure this exhibition happens against Tommy Fury.”
Tommy’s dad, John, is rumoured to be eyeing a fight with Mike Tyson as part of the event.
Meanwhile, KSI is also embarking on a peculiar tangent. He’ll be sparring with fellow creator IShowSpeed live on stream in what is likely to be a heavily one-sided affair.
In what appears to be Dillon Danis-level trolling, the pair have organised the bout so it coincides with Jake Paul’s fight against Andre August on December 15.
