Misfits has announced a decadent new Stuffed protein bar range, signalling a significant gear change from the plant-based products that built its name.
Stuffed is the brand’s first protein bar powered by dairy sources, using a blend of calcium caseinate, whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, collagen peptides and soy protein isolate to deliver 17g of the muscle-building macronutrient per serving.
As the name suggests, the collection also features an entirely different construction.
Three flavours – Peanut Butter, Salted Caramel and Chocolate Frosting – debut with a gooey centre, wrapped in rich double-dipped milk chocolate and finished with a crunchy layer of crispies.

Misfits Stuffed promises a texture that’s closer to a candy bar than your traditional functional snack. That said, the nutrition remains impressively tight.
Alongside the respectable protein count, each bar delivers 6g of fat, 16g of carbs, just 1g of sugar and 170 calories.
They’re currently available via Misfits’ US store and Amazon, with a UK launch scheduled for later this year. Boxes of 12 bars cost $30.99 for single flavours or a mixed variety pack.
Misfits Receives Fan Backlash
Excitement surrounding the release of Misfits Stuffed was quickly tempered by backlash from some long-standing fans.
Misfits has always favoured plant-based ingredients and protein sources, leading many to believe it was a fully vegan brand.
With the launch of Stuffed, some of its customers were left scratching their heads.

One wrote on Instagram: “The reason you’re receiving so much negative feedback is that many of us thought you were a vegan brand that believed in the ethics.
“You’ve made your money off vegans and it feels like you’ve betrayed us. I’m not worried about your vegan products still being available, because I won’t be buying or recommending your products anymore, which is a shame.
“It also wasn’t communicated well with your existing customers that you would now be selling non-vegan products.
“I’m sure many vegans will still accidentally buy your non-vegan products because they think they don’t need to check labels with a vegan brand they trust.”
In response to the social media fallout, Misfits wrote: “Our plant-based bars are here to stay. Stuffed is an addition to the lineup, not a replacement. Thanks for all the feedback and for being part of our amazing Misfits community.”
