Pick’em Breaks New Ground with Its First-Ever Vitamin Toothpicks
Flavoured toothpick trailblazer Pick’em has just raised the curtain on its biggest — and most ambitious — product drop yet.
The attention-grabbing start-up began as a university project, aimed at giving one of the world’s oldest accessories a contemporary new twist.
Debuted in 2023, Pick’em positioned itself as a retro alternative to chewing gum, while also offering a cleaner oral obsession for those trying to quit vaping.
Several viral moments — and a quite incredible appearance on the German version of Shark Tank — later, the brand is now a mass-market monster.
Thanks to the fearless work of four co-founders, Pick’em’s toothpicks have made their way into the mouths of countless big-name celebrities, including James Corden, KSI, Tom Aspinall, Miniminter, and Macklemore.
Pressing ahead with their promise to evolve the toothpick into something smarter, the ambitious quartet have introduced fans to their latest feat of innovation: vitamin toothpicks.
“Vitamin toothpicks are finally here,” wrote co-founder Niklas Terrahe. “And oh boy… this one almost broke us.
“They’ve been requested in almost every single customer survey we’ve ever done.
“So one year ago, we thought: ‘Easy. Let’s just add vitamins to our toothpicks.’ Turns out, it’s way harder than it sounds.”
Terrahe and co. faced numerous roadblocks on their quest to transform the concept into a tangible reality.
For the format to work, they had to increase the toothpick’s width by 0.5mm, adding an extra drying phase so it would absorb more liquid.
“Then we had the ambition: One toothpick equals one daily dose,” he added.
“That meant building a pressure-infusion system and tripling the drying time at low heat so the vitamins wouldn’t burn out.”
Once the vitamins had been added to the toothpicks, the final hurdle was actually keeping them there.
Determined as ever, the Pick’em team commissioned a custom single-wrapping machine to seal every toothpick and prevent the nutrients from leaking over time.
To prove their invention worked, Pick’em says it partnered with a lab to test and ratify the absorption levels.
Twelve months, dozens of prototypes, and “a few nervous breakdowns” later, Pick’em’s aptly named Powerline has finally arrived.
It comes in the form of two vitamin-infused toothpicks: Amplifying Apple and Lightning Lemon.
The former returns more than the full recommended daily dose of vitamin D3 — otherwise known as the sunshine vitamin — to support muscle function.

Meanwhile, Lightning Lemon combines vitamins B6 and B1 to help drive natural energy production and support mental performance.
“Why go through all that trouble?,” Terrahe continued.
“Because thousands of people told us the same thing: They already use our toothpicks every day. They just wanted them to do more.
“This launch took everything from us: time, money, and sanity, but it might just be our most exciting launch yet.”
Pick’em’s creative answer to upping your daily vitamin intake can be found directly through the brand’s online store. Bundles featuring both flavours start from £27.99.
