We Put Kollo Health’s Pure Creatine to the Test – Here’s What We Thought
Supplement brands have a tendency to overengineer products, turning what should be straightforward nutrition into long, confusing ingredient labels.
The obsession with launching 14 different flavour mash-ups and stacking just as many ingredients often feels like overkill.
In my humble opinion, that kind of one-upmanship only serves to dilute the purpose. Sometimes the best supplements are the simplest – a concept much of the industry seems to have forgotten.
Thankfully, there are still a handful of brands out there following the “less is more” approach, and one of them is Kollo Health.
Although it’s best known for its multi-award-winning liquid collagen sachets, today we’re reviewing one of the other products from Kollo’s growing roster: Pure Creatine Monohydrate.
Made from just one ingredient – a clinically studied dose of creatine monohydrate – we wanted to find out whether it’s the perfect antidote to overcomplicated, sickly-sweet blends.
Introducing Kollo Health’s Pure Creatine
By all accounts, Kollo Health got into creatine by popular request. With the brand’s range already featuring collagen, electrolytes and blends geared towards menopause and joint support, creatine felt like a natural next step.
There’s not a huge amount to unpack here, as the label is refreshingly short and sweet. Each scoop packs 5g of premium creatine monohydrate and nothing else.
Free from sweeteners, fillers or any questionable bulking agents, it’s very much pure by name and pure by nature.
Why Creatine Is Important (Especially for Women)
Before moving on to my review, I want to briefly dispel a few myths around creatine. As one of the most deeply researched compounds in sports nutrition, creatine is often viewed solely through an athletic lens.
To a certain extent, that makes complete sense; creatine is proven to enhance strength, power and exercise performance, particularly over short, high-intensity bursts.
Historically, it’s been mostly marketed towards men, which is slightly ironic as, generally speaking, women have more to gain.
Women naturally store less creatine than men, yet find themselves largely cut out of the conversation. Contrary to popular belief, creatine won’t make you bulky, disrupt your hormones or interfere with fertility.
If anything, it helps safeguard energy reserves, muscle mass and bone density through ageing and natural hormonal fluctuations, while emerging research suggests it can also aid cognitive function.
To cut a long science lesson short, creatine is a brilliant addition for both men and women, regardless of whether you hit the gym every day or simply get your steps in.
My Honest Review of Kollo’s Pure Creatine
Starting with the formula, Kollo has got the dosage bang on here. Set at 5g per serving, it hits the widely accepted gold standard daily intake for maximum efficacy.
Unless you’re a bodybuilder, putting yourself through a loading phase isn’t necessary. Consistently supplementing at 5g will allow creatine levels to build up in the muscles over time, helping you to reap the rewards without any stomach discomfort.
For me, Kollo’s Pure Creatine also gets top marks for being as described: pure.
I can’t tell you how many chemically flavoured creatine blends I’ve slurped through, and very few taste anything like the flavour promised on the packaging.
Simplicity is an undervalued quality, and it also allows you to stack multiple habits in one.

I already use Kollo’s Electrolytes+ Advanced Hydration sachets, so the fact that this creatine is unflavoured makes it simple for me to combine the two with no friction.
That wouldn’t be possible if Kollo had followed the pack and muddied the water with several nuclear-tasting varieties.
As anyone who takes multiple supplements will know, the ability to streamline your routine is an underrated perk. Drinking shake after shake is a surefire way to set your stomach on a full spin cycle (and nobody wants that).
With any creatine powder, mixability is the major test. More often than not, granules are left clinging to the glass or shaker, and the gritty mouthfeel is far from pleasant.
In this instance, I’m happy to report that Kollo’s Pure Creatine dissolves like a dream and doesn’t need shaking like a cocktail to get there. A simple scoop and stir is all that’s needed to get the job done.
You’ll find a scoop inside the pouch, so there’s no need for scales or ‘measuring by eye’. All things considered, I only have positives to report.
Value for Money
At £22 for a one-time purchase of 30 servings, or £18.70 if you subscribe, Kollo’s Pure Creatine is slightly more expensive than some of the budget options on the market.
That said, it exceeds many in dosage, creatine quality and, most importantly, purity. What you’re paying for is a full daily serving of one of the most researched and clinically studied supplements in sports nutrition, free from superfluous extras.
Compared to alternative formats like creatine gummies, it still saves you a lot of cash – and avoids the sugars, syrups and other questionable inclusions that often come with them.
If you value results and simplicity over crowded labels and cloying lab experiments, Kollo’s Pure Creatine more than earns its price tag.
