We Tried Vybey’s Complete Nutrition Bar – Here’s What We Thought
I’m something of a repeat offender for skipping breakfast. Don’t get me wrong: I’m not one of those “I can’t eat anything first thing in the morning” people, I’m more the “I like to snooze my alarm at least three times” type.
That often means I’ll grab a protein bar or shake as I’m bolting out the door in a hurried rush. But as anyone who struggles to rip their head from the pillow will know, that means my stomach is usually rumbling way before lunch.
While protein helps keep you full, it’s not enough to complete the full nutritional puzzle alone. I’m old enough and ugly enough to know by now that I’m not about to change my ways and blossom into a morning person overnight.
Instead, solving my breakfast woes relied on finding something smarter that I could grab and dash. So when Vybey, a brand known for its complete meal powders, dropped a complete nutrition bar, I knew I had to give it a shot.
Hopeful as ever, I picked up all three flavours and put them to the test. Here’s my honest Vybey Complete Nutrition Bar review.
Introducing Vybey
Vybey’s story is one plenty of us can resonate with. Co-founder Gordon Belch was trying to balance a busy lifestyle, working full-time, studying law and competing in athletics.
He used to begin his day with the same nutritious smoothie formula, blending ingredients to create a complete healthy meal that checked all the wellness boxes while saving his most crucial resource: time.
After sharing the recipe with friends and family – and receiving glowing feedback – he realised the concept could work for the masses.
That lightbulb moment led to the formulation of Vybey’s now hugely popular Complete Meal Powder, which also comes pre-mixed in bottles.
Over time, the range has swelled to include smart hydration, greens, medicinal mushrooms, a nootropic coffee replacement and, of course, the complete nutrition bar.
Each one is formulated to boost both brain and body, taking care of the whole package in one scoop, bite or sip. You’ll find Vybey products across the globe, from Australia and New Zealand to the much less tropical shores of the UK.
My Vybey Complete Nutrition Bar Review
To provide the most comprehensive overview possible, I’m going to break this Vybey Complete Nutrition Bar review down into a few bite-sized chunks:
- Ingredients
- Macros
- Taste & Texture
- Performance
- Value for Money
Let’s get started.
Ingredients
Reading the ingredients list for Vybey’s Complete Nutrition Bar is refreshing in the sense that every inclusion is recognisable – and impressively wholesome.
Organic pea protein and pea protein crisps provide a complete amino acid profile, while additions like almonds, coconut powder, date paste, organic rice oil and tapioca fibre boost the bar with gut-friendly prebiotics and healthy fats.
Playing something of a dual role, coconut powder is also rich in MCTs, a high-energy fuel source for the brain that helps cells thrive and can improve memory and alertness.
Gluten-free oats bring the slow-release carbs, complemented by a huge suite of vitamins and minerals including magnesium, zinc, vitamins A, C, D, E and five B vitamins.
Vybey’s Complete Nutrition Bar comes in three flavours: Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Mint and White Choc Raspberry.
Each one is achieved naturally through inclusions like cacao powder, peppermint oil, dried raspberry powder and erythritol, with any sugar coming from natural sources. All in all, there’s a lot to like.
Macros
Vybey’s Complete Nutrition Bar is designed to be a meal, or at the very least a filling snack, so it’s worth adjusting your expectations from a bog-standard protein bar.
You still get a very respectable 20g of protein per serving, but the wider picture is equally important. Each bar also delivers approximately 9-11g of fat, 27g of carbs, 8g of fibre and 300 calories.
Paired with the protein and quality ingredient sourcing, that nutrient panel will go much further in keeping you full and energised than any protein bar or shake.
A special mention has to go to the fibre count, which sits at almost a third of the daily recommended intake. Most people either aren’t getting enough fibre or struggle to hit their target, so for that, Vybey’s offering gets another big tick.
Taste & Texture
Formulation aside, taste and texture are arguably the most important factors, because if a product is a chore to eat, it’s a habit that’ll never stick – no matter how healthy it is.
Complete nutrition bars and shakes have a tendency to be quite bland and grainy. I suppose that’s an occupational hazard of cramming so many ingredients into a relatively small portion.
So I was pleasantly surprised that Vybey’s creation impressed across the board. All three flavours matched what was on the label in a way that landed naturally, rather than sickly sweet and cloying.
The Chocolate Mint, in particular, took me by surprise, as I don’t usually like to mix the two. In my eyes, one is for toothpaste, and the other is for putting that toothpaste to work.

However, in this case, the peppermint oil really shone through, complementing the rich and earthy chocolate taste.
As for the texture, Vybey’s Complete Nutrition Bar is certainly denser than your typical protein bar. Again, that just comes with the territory.
It leans more towards the wholefoods end of the spectrum than a dessert-style offering, but not in a way that leaves you with an aching jaw.
It’s still delicious and worlds away from the dry, mealy experience you get with some health bars. Overall, I was impressed in both departments and found myself wanting to go back in for another bite, which is always a good sign.
Performance
There’s not much to say here other than Vybey’s Complete Nutrition Bar hit the spot. With a brilliantly balanced nutrient panel and enjoyable flavours, it works perfectly for breakfast on-the-go, as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up or a post-workout treat.
It earns the title of a complete nutrition bar and certainly kept me fuelled and satisfied throughout the morning, without having to sacrifice precious sleep. Top marks once again.
Value for Money
No Vybey Complete Nutrition Bar review would be complete without mentioning value for money. In other words, are you getting decent bang for your buck?
In my humble opinion, the answer to that question is a resounding yes. Boxes containing 12 bars of any flavour start at £29.99 for a one-time purchase, with the option to subscribe and save 10%.
That’s roughly £2.50 per bar, which you’d pay in a supermarket for a wholly inferior product. To my mind, £2.50 for a complete breakfast, snack or post-workout refuel delivering protein, carbs, healthy fats, fibre and much, much more is hard to beat.
If you want to try Vybey for yourself, head on over to the brand’s online store or visit its TikTok Shop.
